we'll see how long it takes them to realize. afaik containment only applies to posting, not voting. i believe that's actually a constitutionally protected right which i hold.

for the cause

People who have 10 posts in OOT prior to the start of nominations are allowed and welcome to vote.

The electorate isn't very MAGA - Tomi Lahren failed to even qualify this year; she, Hope Hicks and Ivanka Trump have all done badly in the recent past. An attempt to nominate the first lady lacked seconders.

TBH I'm surprised people from this thread are going across to vote for AOC. When she was nominated it was pointed out:

Obviously Ms. OOT is more than a beauty contest as voters use other criteria but based on this I said that while I'm not changing the rules mid-competition this year, if I am running it next year I won't accept a nomination for someone who presumably wouldn't want to be in (i.e. the type of person who doesn't curate attractive selfies of themselves for their instagram).

OTOH, nominating an accomplished whatever-job-that-doesnt-essentially-require-to-look-hot-on-Instagram is indeed misogynistic.

Would I feel kinda misogynistic nominating AOC ? Definitly. EmRata ? lolnah.

You click on the number of votes to see.

These are AOC's voters so far:

+rep_lol, .Alex., 2ShedsJackson, Alchemist, alwarde4, aoFrantic, applesauce123, bigt2k4, BluffMyNuts, BOIDS, BrookTrout, CalledDownLight, champstark, ClarkNasty, crimedopay420, dalerobk2, DavidFongs, DC11GTR, DodgerIrish, Dragonbreath, ESKiMO-SiCKNE5S, evildeadalive, ex-why-zed, goofyballer, Grue, Hired Goons2, iamnotawerewolf, jalfrezi, Johnny Truant, JonnyA, Kafja, kerowo, kkcountry, la2sb91, lenC, LieutenantBroccoli, ligastar, Loden Pants, mantasm, Matty Lice, Max Cut, microbet, MrAdvantage, mullen, ninefingershuffle, Noze, OneEyedPoker, otatop, pvn, quarantined, RainierWolfcastle, redirkulous, ScreaminAsian, skiier04, Slighted, smacc25, SteveSax, Stinky Stu, stuff they say, TehVader, UsedToBeGood, Vecernicek, Vegasvilla8, Victor, WeakerthanPaul, WillieWin?, Zimmer4141

"In past Ms. OOTs, voting rules required that participants be registered before October of this year, have at least 100 total posts, and at least 10 posts in OOT (OOTV doesn't count). Owing to attrition, the lack of new blood in OOT, and the poor quality of last year’s competition, we’re going to relax those rules a bit in order to encourage some better nominations and a more active contest. If you want to ensure that you qualify to vote, bring something to the table in this thread:"

So basically anyone above who doesn't have 10 posts in OOT and didn't participate in the nominations thread should not have their vote counted. In a close contest a mod may have to check some of them out, but a fair number of the above seem to be long established posters.
im pretty sure i have 10 posts in oot. but they out here hating..

lol at x post.

it's a beauty contest but beauty is subjective. there are several people in this year and previous that i dont consider pretty at all. so it seems ridiculous to try and parse out the ones that you don't think are up to it based on your own tastes.

seems like you guys might just need to deal with the fact that its ACTUALLY a popularity contest and always has been.

Serious business needs serious rules. We will have ****ing order!

ROFL at the attempt by organizer to shame noms/votes as misogynistic.

Right and I wouldn't do that. For example I totally don't understand why Talulah Riley and Cara Delvinge are getting so many votes this year but they're legitimate candidates.

The reason I'm more uncomfortable with AOC being in it is the fact that her getting this type of attention in this pseudo-beauty contest is something she personally wouldn't be comfortable with.

If someone wanted to nominate Slovak liberal politician Jana Ciganikova (who puts her nude photos on her political billboards) then that would be fine with me.

It's a combination of different factors. The traditional criteria though are beauty, notability, cultural relevance and attainability - but everyone votes how they want.

You guys should be proud, you're definitely the first ones to ever troll a Ms OOT contest!
