"Dirty Trickster" Trump Confidant Roger Stone Indicted On Multiple Felonies. "Dirty Trickster" Trump Confidant Roger Stone Indicted On Multiple Felonies.

I understand this happened a few days ago, but I felt such joyous occasion deserved it's own tribute in the form of it's very own thread. Roger Stone, whose melon looks like it was shaped by a 5 year old sculpting play-doh,

was arrested Friday, January 25 2019 by the F.B.I. in an early morning raid of his Ft. Lauderdale residence.

He was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury in the District of Columbia on seven counts, including one count of obstruction of an official proceeding, five counts of false statements, and one count of witness tampering.

"After the July 22, 2016, release of stolen (Democratic National Committee) emails by Organization 1, a senior Trump Campaign official was directed to contact STONE about any additional releases and what other damaging information Organization 1 had regarding the Clinton Campaign. STONE thereafter told the Trump Campaign about potential future releases of damaging material by Organization 1,"

"During the summer of 2016, STONE spoke to senior Trump Campaign officials about Organization 1 and information it might have had that would be damaging to the Clinton Campaign. STONE was contacted by senior Trump Campaign officials to inquire about future releases by Organization 1."

The question remains, who is the senior Trump Campaign official named in the indictment?

Roger Stone, whose lobbying firm Black, Manafort & Stone, is largely responsible for the political climate Donald Trump referred to as "The Swamp" during his 2016 political campaign. Stone used his political connections to lobby for some of the most brutal regimes of the day, Zaire’s Mobuto Sese Seko, Angola’s Unita rebels, and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos.

The thread wouldn't be compete without the costuming and bravado of a man who has staked his freedom on a pardon from a serial liar and con-man.

i believe trump will pardon roger stone and that roger stone knows this

I think this thread would be better if it was a collection of all the Trump lackeys indicted, not just Stone.

I think he thinks that as well, but I can't think of anyone who has come out smelling like roses after trusting in Trump.

i believe jared kushner was the senior white house aide mentioned in the indictment

Has Trump pardoned anyone within a mile of Mueller?

Cohen? LOL no.
Manny? Nope.
Papadop? Nope.

I'm sure I'm missing others. Seems like Trump's plan is to throw everyone to the wolves in order to save himself. Imagine Trump pardoning everyone and the day he leaves office, the SDNY nails him.

A+ Op. Would read again. Roger Stone is definitely my favorite lackey to be indicted so far, **** that guy now and forever.

You can go back and forth arguing about which administration was the worst of all time, but I think the Nixon admin hands-down cast the longest shadow of any presidency ever. By that I mean there were an unprecedented number of cronies and hangers-on from the Nixon White House that continued to be a cancerous rot in American politics for so very long.

When I was growing up in the 90s it was like every time you'd turn on the news you'd see guys like Kissinger, John McLaughlin, Pat Buchanan, Ben Stein --all these garbage scumbags were somehow able to get respectable jobs as serious political commentators despite working for the most disgraced presidency in American history. Mother****ing PBS of all channels had a show where you could watch Pat Buchanan and John McLaughlin talk shop. PBS! Imagine if ten years from now MSNBC decides to hire Sean Spicer and Kellyanne Conway to host a serious politics show and smart people actually decide to treat it like legitimate political commentary. At least G. Gordon Liddy had the decency to go off and become a fringe AM radio conspiracy theorist.

So now it's twenty-dicekty-ninteen, 45 years after Nixon resigned in disgrace and somehow this buffoonish Nixon toadie Roger Stone is still actively smearing feces over our political system. Just insane. I don't think there's anything like this in American political history. It's like if operatives from the Warren G. Harding scandals were still active players during the Eisenhower years.

Anyway, I say this to vent and also because I'm really worried about the shadow the Trump administration is going to cast. So many of these Trump slapdicks are fairly young, like Steven Miller, Scaramucci, Sarah Sanders, Kusher, Donnie Jr., Ivanka, Omarosa, etc. etc. They're not going to jail. The media should avoid them like radioactive waste, but they won't (remember Spicer's apology comeback tour?). If Trump is deposed, there's going to be a mass outpouring of West Wing both-sidesy bull**** from the media and you have to know some of these Trump jizzmoppers are going to become CNN consultants and treated like serious commentators who weren't boot-licking Quislings. I want you all to be ready for this, and to recognize that it's not normal or sane.

Andrew Jackson CRUSHES Nixon even in the shadow cast department.

We're still dealing with the vestiges of his spoils system and atrocities against Native Americans (some of which, probably not coincidentally, propped up the value of properties he bought on the "frontier.")

Love to see Stone representing himself at his arraignment.

Trump reminds me a lot of old mafia bosses.

Everyone knows Trump is guilty but establishing just enough plausible (for criminal purposes) deniability is like breathing to him.

Come to think of it, he was friends with NYC and probably AC mafia bosses.

He’s 100% throwing Stone under the boss.

There’s no mob boss on earth this bad at covering up crimes.

Roger Stone wanted WikiLeaks dump to distract from ‘Access Hollywood’ tape, Mueller witness says
The revelation in The Washington Post of a tape of Donald Trump bragging about sexually assaulting women landed just after 4 p.m. on Oct. 7, 2016.

Less than an hour later, WikiLeaks, an anti-secrecy organization founded by Julian Assange, began releasing hacked emails from the account of John Podesta, the chairman of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.

The striking simultaneity fulfilled the hope of Trump confidant Roger Stone, according to Jerome Corsi, a conservative author and former Stone associate who was subpoenaed over the summer for questioning by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III.

“I had one call from Roger, as I recall it — Roger disputes this — on the day that WikiLeaks did begin in October dropping the final emails on John Podesta, in which Roger was essentially saying, ‘We’ve got this timing issue because the Billy Bush tape is going to be released, and we’d like to have Assange begin releasing emails now,’” Corsi told MSNBC’s Ari Melber on Monday.

...

Stone has repeatedly denied conspiring with WikiLeaks, asking Friday on CNN, “Where is the WikiLeaks collaboration?”

...

In a tweet the day before the WikiLeaks dump, Stone previewed the coming threat to Clinton’s campaign. His Twitter account has since been suspended.

"Julian Assange will deliver a devastating expose on Hillary at a time of his choosing,” he wrote on Oct. 6, 2016. “I stand by my prediction. #handcuffs4hillary”

What about the 92 year old black grandmother who was merced by a tactical squad that busted her door down and after not finding the drugs they were looking for, planted some?

That happened 8 years ago, I still haven't seen a single republican senator demand an investigation into that.

Someone in my Facebook feed just "implored" people to listen to Tucker Carlson's eight minute explanation of how Roger Stone is getting railroaded

Citation please? I know you're brand new here and completely unfamiliar with the TwoPlusTwo Politics forums, but you're required to provide citations for dubious claims and this seems like one since he's facing, what, seven federal charges?
