If lawn signs are any indication, Hugin and McArthur have a massive edge over Menendez and Kim. But I did see more than one Andy Kim sign that was covered up by a Hugin sign placed directly in front of it, so it's entirely possible all of the Dem candidate signs are being removed or blocked. Hoping NJ stays reliably blue, and will be doing my part to make sure that is the case.

Lots and lots and lots of Gillum lawn signs around me. I haven't seen a single Desantis. A couple of Nelson and no Scott.

In Michigan we have a black Republican named John James running for Stabbenow's seat and his commercials not only make no mention of trump and his presidential endorsement, he doesn't even identify himself as a Republican

The ND Native American voting scandal was front page news across the border yesterday in Canada and Trump was also blamed for the synagogue shooting on the same front page.

I imagine there are a lot of Menendez voters who have no interest putting his sign in their yards... It's not going to be a proud vote for many people.

Polls looking decentish for Ds in a few of the close races the last two days. But ND and TN look to be over. So the only chance of senate majority would be Beto pulling it off and Ds winning all the other close ones.

Mostly just hoping for house majority, one seat gain in senate, and gains in governorships and state governments at this point.

Fair point. I know it's not the proudest vote I'll be making. I just hope the optics of tons of Hugin signs and no Menendez signs doesn't sway undecided or uneducated voters.

Don’t call it a comeback?

Come on....Ted

The last three days or so in Nevada, Rosen ads are outnumbering Heller adds about 3:1, and they're relentlessly hammering on his flip/flop on health care - which I think is a really good strategy. Her previous ads were dog****. I'm hoping for a 538 update pole tomorrow - we'll see.

Ted finally realized he'd be more popular if he actually were a serial killer.

Probably true, but the reverse is also likely true for voters of people like DeSantis and Cruz.

Booker throwing his weight behind Menendez to ensure that he was the D NJ nominee is disqualifying for his presumed 2020 Presidential run. He, and many other, Ds obviously have a long history of questionable behavior but to continue doing this shady **** in the Trump era is just unreal.

Two polls in a row have Manchin only +5 in West Virginia with plenty of undecideds.

Emerson (10/28-10/31): Manchin (D) 47, Morrisey (R) 42
MetroNews (10/19 - 10/30): Mahcin 45, Morrisey 40

Ted Cruz is down to +3 in Texas according to Emerson.

Cruz 50, O'Rourke 47.

That follows polls of Cruz +10, +5, +5, and +6 in the second half of October.

And in the new CNN poll (rated A- by 538) Rosen is now ahead of Heller by 3 points. Gee, it's almost like if you hammer on the healthcare issue and pretty much ignore the other stuff, good things happen to the dem candidate. Shocking.

meanwhile Claire is
on fox news who ofc bashes the crazy democrats (ie 2p2ers), then gets around to liz warren and bernie without the interviewer even leading her there.

damnit Claire, nobody who watches fox news is gonna vote for you anyway you don't have to bother with that ****.

Also this was the proper headline
vote-for-claire-mccaskill-you-liberal-dip****s including "grow the **** up" at the end. dead right

**** Manchin. If we’re losing the senate anyway I hope he loses.

Gotta stay within striking range for 2020. That means no worse than 52-48. Mayyybe could overcome 53-47.

If the moderate blue senators lose in MT/IN/WV/MO/etc, 2022 is also gone.

I feel the same way though it’s probably wrong.

Don’t care, **** Manchin.

I mean it’s nice to have another vote to push judicial nominees through if there’s a Dem president but god damn if you can’t count on the guy when it matters most ie Kavanaugh then what good is he?
11-01-2018 , 07:55 PM
I've been back and forth on Manchin, I hate him, but we need him. It's not just about judicial nominees, it's about whether we're able to pass any legislation and whether we're able to do anything to level the playing field (DC, Puerto Rico).

No Senate means no court packing, no statehood, no chance at fighting back long-term...
