Cruz dropping to 66% on Predictit.

Just donated to Beto; completely hyped if there’s any chance to boot out Cruz.

Are there really that many Gillum/Scott voters?

It wouldn't surprise me.

I'm speculating the reasons might be

Scott is fairly popular here.
Desantis hitched his wagon to Trump, Scott has not.
Nelson has been here forever. New blood and all that. Plus, I haven't seen a lot of effort from his campaign yet.

The only reason Nelson even has a chance is if Gillum can generate enough turnout to drag him over the finish line.

he's still sending out campaign flyers cloaked in summons envelopes?
09-20-2018 , 10:09 AM
That seems like it should be illegal.
09-21-2018 , 09:06 AM
As long as it’s clear who the mailer it’s from, it’s legal. Shady af, but legal.

McCaskill does nothing but talk about healthcare. I don’t think it will save her in this ****hole state but that’s certainly not a valid criticism vs her and I suspect many Democrats these days. Also was pleased she is a confirmed no on Kavanaugh. Should be the bare minimum but whatever. Hawley completely lacks charisma but is way smarter than the average Republican and won’t **** up anything too big which is probably all he has to do. Having the right to work bill on the November ballot instead of last month would have been huge for democrat turnout I think (altho lots of Rs votes against too)

Comparing WaPo above with 538 is interesting.

- They call WI/MI/PA/OH/VA "competitive", but not MN; 538 thinks Tina Smith in MN has a lower % chance (at 90) than all those other states (96%+)
- They don't consider TX "competitive", while 538 rates Cruz's chances (67%) far lower than most of the D senators WaPo thinks are in "competitive" races

Again, WaPo's whole thing is "picking the 10 seats most likely to flip" and they have Tammy Baldwin's seat (538: 97% to hold) in there but not Ted Cruz's (538: 67%).

09-21-2018 , 07:18 PM

09-21-2018 , 07:20 PM
Beto pointing out that Cruz supports weirdos for judges
