figuring out that when your voting base can't read you can just lie and claim you're doing practically anything. political science scholars will study this breakthrough for decades.

McConnell got $2.5M and he doesn't see any reason to protect Mueller. He probably throws in the extra smug for free whenever he says that.

Donald Trump and the political action committees for Mitch McConnell, Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, Lindsey Graham, John Kasich and John McCain accepted $7.35 million in contributions from a Ukrainian-born oligarch who is the business partner of two of Russian president Vladimir Putin's favorite oligarchs and a Russian government bank.

i love how trump vacillates between "he says he didn't do that, so you gotta believe him" and "yeah he says under oath that he did do that, but you can't believe him"

Trump administration resists global climate efforts at home and overseas
The United States joined a controversial proposal by Saudi Arabia and Russia this weekend to weaken a reference to a key report on the severity of global warming, sharpening battle lines at the global climate summit in Poland aimed at gaining consensus over how to combat rising temperatures.

Arguments erupted Saturday night before a United Nations working group focused on science and technology, where the United States teamed with Russia, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait to challenge language that would have welcomed the findings of the landmark report, which said that the world has barely 10 years to cut carbon emissions by nearly half to avoid catastrophic warming.

...

The U.S. position lines up with the views of the Trump administration, which is plowing ahead with a raft of aggressive policies on coal power and oil exploration that are likely to worsen the effects of climate change — steamrolling over dire environmental warnings issued by the administration’s own team of experts in a major report just two weeks ago.

If I was a single issue voter my issue would be climate change. I knew once trump got elected the earth was basically ****ed. It was already pretty much ****ed - but that sealed the deal for sure.

Hopefully future generations can forgive us, if the world is even inhabitable after a few hundred more years.

We need net zero emissions by 2050 LOL. We’d be lucky to even have lowered emissions at all by then.

According to the NYT, Nick Ayers actually DECLINED the Chief of Staff offer. Not only that, but he's leaving his current job of VP Chief of Staff.

In any other administration, this would be throwing away a HUGE opportunity for someone so young.

I am in the process of interviewing some really great people for the position of White House Chief of Staff. Nick Ayers, a spectacular person will always be with our #MAGA agenda. I will be making a decision soon!

But he can't even do that. He has to lie about the fake news media because.....?

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess it has something to do with the fact that he knows nothing about policy, has never read a briefing book (or any book for that matter). He manages nothing, directs nothing, and has an interest in no part of government. If he had his way he would lay in bed all day stuffing his fat racist face with cold KFC while rage tweeting reruns of fox and friends.

The real question is how hard it must be to fill his schedule with anything remotely presidential looking.

Hey now...he has lunch with Pence!
12-10-2018 , 12:25 AM

Of course that's why he wanted to hire him. LUL
