Not really worth arguing about, but it doesn't make sense then because in his story the law separates children after they are in the US. So, I'm going with a little psychological analysis and a close reading. He says it's the Dems doing the separation, then remembering he hates these people anyway rants about "catch and release" (totally irrelevant), the Wall and MS13 (wtf?, but it's always rapists murderers and MS13 and thugs!).
