I just got home to this news. Trump is erratic and impulsive and goddamn dangerous.

Trump was likely so excited to finally get to launch some missiles and I doubt he can come close to understanding the effects this will have around the world.

And it conveniently will take over the news cycle so we won't hear about gorsuch/nuclear option, Russia investigation, or any of the other dozen important issues going on.

60 of those goddamn things against one airfield seems like ridic overkill, but I'm no expert. I guess the good news is that there probably won't be too many civilians caught in the middle of an airfield. Probably.

You deny them the use of an airfield at least and hopefully take out a bunch of their air assets.
04-06-2017 , 11:03 PM
Well, they probably won't be launching any planes from that airfield for a few weeks...

Destroying infrastructure without needlessly killing people, pisses off the Russians less and makes them less likely to get involved? Seems like a good idea, and as a bonus makes Trump look like a moron for every time he's ever tried to act like he's a genius for "not telling people we're gonna hit them in advance" or whatever.

Weird how all my AmericaFirst friends are saluting the president for doing the right thing and avenging those kids in syria. I guess it take military action to get them to give a **** about foreigners.

The next time our planes are in proximity to Syrian or Russian planes is going to be "interestng."

Lady on Al Jazeera: "Forgive my cynicism, but why did those horrific images of dead and dying babies push Trump to the exact opposite conclusion in 2013?"

The interesting thing is she was obviously in the anti-neocon/anti-Trump camp - and the host was challenging her all over the place on it. Al Jazeera >> MSNBC > CNN >>>>>>>>> FoxNews.

Will the strikes have a meaningful impact on the Syrian military? Or were the strikes just meant to send a message? What was the intention of the strikes?
04-06-2017 , 11:42 PM
It is kind of eerie how there really is one of those tweets for every event in the Trump presidency

Can they even do that? If we could cancel votes we wouldn't have vetoed everything on Israel.
