PB&J is awesome.

1. Toast bread until it is warm and slightly browned, but still a little soft. Do not over-toast.
2. Spread P and J on different slices, obviously. You should have about a 2-1 ratio P to J, to avoid J leaking out and staining your shirt.
3. Cut horizontally if the bread is big, diagonally if it is square and small (like Wonder).
4. If you're using creamy P, use jelly. Welches Grape is elite. If you're using chunky P, use jam. Match consistency!
5. What kind of bread to use is a personal choice. I prefer sour rye.
6. Swap out jelly for Nutella for a nice change every now and then.
7. Trump sucks.

Think the better point is that they are going to still vote for him even after cutting programs that literally helped them or traitors or whatever else, it doesn't matter to them at all. Dems need a strategy of trying to get ones that didn't vote to turn out rather than waste any time trying to help these people. Sounds cruel; but welcome to politics. It'll be difficult; but the other way is impossible.

Because so many white people still prefer to be conned by a white man than support programs that help non-white people.

We have to accept this truth. Until we can acknowledge this reality in unflinching racial terms, this will keep happening.

All these calls to "reach out" to these people will fail because everybody wants to soften the message.

Nobody wants to tell these people "You keep voting for racism. You should stop doing that."

I didn't even realize Trump had a pending lawsuit for this, now that I do, add it to the pile.

Here's a link to the actual article, rather than Just Some Dude's hot take.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/01/o...l-loyalty.html

Quote:
One recent survey found that only 3 percent of Trump voters would vote differently if the election were today (and most of those would vote for third-party candidates; only 1 percent said they would switch to voting for Hillary Clinton).

Elizabeth Hays, 27, said her life changed during her freshman year in high school, when four upperclassmen raped her. Domestic Violence Intervention Services rescued her, she said, by helping her understand that the rape wasn’t her fault.

She’s profoundly grateful to the organization — yet she stands by Trump even as she is dismayed that he wants to slash support for a group that helped her when she needed it most. “We have to look at what we spend money on,” she said, adding, “I will stand behind my president.”

Toasted and open-faced for the win.

Don't be ridiculous, open face sandwiches are only for when there is gravy involved. Open faced PB&J is just toast.

Pretty naive to just say "their racism" as if all or even the majority are. The majority are just misinformed, or religious, or won't vote for dems. As with the post I quoted with ATC, who knows why she stands behind him? It could be any number of reasons and shouting "racism" does jack ****.

Here's the thing:

https://twitter.com/JoyAnnReid/statu...45648126709760

This is racism, though it's not of the nastiest possible variety that we sometimes think of. It's racism by ignorance, racism by lumping "those others" into a group of undeserveds, while they and their family are perfectly deserving of government help. We don't do these people any favors by being soft about this. Calling it out for what it is is the only possible way to move forward.

Agreed, although I think that demographic is something you can chip away at gradually. The article said only 3% of Trump voters would vote differently if the election were today, but it's only been 70+ days...there's virtually endless potential for our dear leader to **** things up further. Combine this with the GOP losing another 1% or so of their most stubborn voting bloc (the elderly) through "attrition" by the next midterm, and even that small percentage can make a difference in a lot of close races.

Dems could need +9 or 10(!) to win back the house. You can easily lose 1% if you make sure 2% of your opponents can't vote anymore. Trump will get around to his voter fraud claim by then; and he will find voter fraud. One way or the other.

Damn I didn't know there were so many PB & J boys in the world. I only eat club sandwiches cuz that **** is high class.

Will Trump learn from his errors over the healthcare bill? Nope. That's been a major focus by MSM for the last week. I think the real story should be has Trump learned his lesson after declaring war on the media? MSM has pwned him on multiple fronts with no sign of slowing up.

24 hour reality tv news outlets still suck in their presentation although I can't wait til Nunes gets back from California.

This narrative that if dems filibuster now, they won't be able to use it later and republicans will name worse people and it's all dems fault is bizarre to me considering they can already do that whenever they want so ???. People also seem to assume gorsuch is fine when that truck driver was black and he won't meet one on one with the non white female senators in meetings, so... Just saying we really could use some data as to how he rules in his cases by race.

Also nonsensical is cuban giving pundits a free narrative for excusing trump, good job moron. Makes no sense at all given what we know of him. Yeah others are doing the dirty work, but he's the head honcho, he knows. I mean who the hell else's stupidity that everyone has to scramble to cover for you think is going on?

btw, something that occurred to me lately--has bernie said anything on Putin? Would not surprise me in the least if he's also on the payroll. Putin cares not how democracy takes a hit, just that it does.

Actually, from what I've read, Trump is moving control of the internet from the FCC (which is Obama's way of controlling content), to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission.) The FTC has zero control over content.
This is another FAKE news story as is Flynn's not being granted immunity (he never asked for it.)

lol
