You are aware my one vote did not elect the President, right?

You are exactly correct about my detached observational tone. I clearly do not believe the Republic is in danger. I respect that you disagree.

My thoughts on Russia.

Putin (and his Russian government) preferred Trump over Clinton.

Putin actively (with the help of the Russian government) sought to discredit HRC which therefore helped Trump.

None of this means that Trump conspired with Putin. Did Flynn? Did Manafort? We are still awaiting those answers.

Spicey should have an interesting day. When does it start if it hasn't already.

The Republic doesn't need to be in existential danger for you to have clearly made a poor choice and been wrong. To date, Trump has been an embarrassing and incompetent stain on our country, by your own admission. Things don't need to get any worse than they already are for your 2016 vote to be a horrible mistake, and they would need to get inconceivably better for it not to be.

Here's the second part of the Senate hearings on Russia from yesterday. This is the part featuring Clint Watts (@selectedwisdom).

What did you think of these hearings, awval?

Party of personal responsibility, awval. You own this ****.

To be fair to him, it's not like anyone could have seen this coming.

He only owns 1/62,984,825th of it so he's basically innocent.

Hopefully Tillerson being basically completely incompetent in his new role helps to tear down the myth of the uber-competent CEO and compensation starts to come down. that would be pretty cool, but of course it won't.

What does it mean that Donald Trump directly repeated, and continues to repeat, false Russian propaganda?

I had actually thought he was one of the better Trump picks (relatively) at the time. It's true that you can never go wrong fading the competence of old white men.

If guilty, you think they would have done this and kept Trump totally in the dark? Is that even remotely possible?

Undertitle needs to be changed to Willfully Ignorant?

"Success has many fathers, while failure is an orphan". It turns out that was.coined by Mussolini's son-in-law.

Can't quote any of it, but here is a link to a letter written by a former Morgan Stanley client to Morgan Lewis explaining why the client is terminating their relationship with the firm. Spoiler alert: they are pissed that Morgan Lewis is enabling Trump's corruption and violation of the emoluments clause. http://www.politico.com/f/?id=000001...f-bbd77cd10001

Not even page two in most country's. And the most that will come out of it is that Flynn is a Russian spy who tricked Trump to be Russia friendly. That wont hurt Trump.

You can't be that naive

Trump, during a press conference explicitly asked Russia to hack her emails.

There's no way Trump is clean in this, and to think otherwise is intellectual dishonesty

What country do you live in where a former national security advisor being revealed as a foreign spy is page 2 news?

I love how the press briefing routinely start late. I'm sure that's normal for all administrations but I'm imagine Spicer and his staff scrambling to come up with new ways to deny everything.
