Because so long as DEM-e has the Whitehouse they don't care who's in your state house. The Dem's incompetence at the state and local level is what is really going to **** us all, because they can't stop voter disenfranchisement now without the help of the courts who will be packed with TRUMP appointees soon.

LOL.

Russia invades NYC.

Trump: Serves them right. Losers! Goes and plays golf.

Russia invades Bum****, Iowa; population 18.

Trump: Send in the troops! *Deploys 200K troops* (Plays golf anyway.)

Very interesting piece recommend a read

The most explosive allegation that the dossier says originally came from Millian is the claim that Trump had hired prostitutes at the Moscow Ritz-Carlton and that the Kremlin has kept evidence of the encounter.

By his own evolving statements, Sergei Millian is either a shrewd businessman with high-level access to both Trump’s inner circle and the Kremlin, or a bystander unwittingly caught up in a global controversy.

New travel ban TRO converted into a preliminary injunction tonight. Another legal loss for the White House.

The greatest con isn't trump, it's the narrative the media is liberal.
lol @ thinking the NYTimes should publicize the contents of a peepee dossier just because they "couldn't find anything wrong with it." That would be terrible journalistic practice.

Posting this here because of the thread's traffic.

I'm watching The Daily Show and while Trevor Noah was talking, the show was interrupted by some random images (tank, jewelry box ballerina, and bear, I think) and the URL thepresidentshow.ru.

The URL redirects to a Twitter page with one post in Russian. Translated, it reads, "Make night late again."

I'm going to assume it was some weird ad for a new Comedy Central show, but it was certainly odd.

The Twitter account had a handful of followers when I checked it out. It's up to 105.

EDIT: A second tweet: "Great things to come!"

Reportedly they spoke with the source.

The least surprising thing in the thread is that you're the type who focused on the most irrel part of the dossier.

People and media are reporting all sorts of things with far less than that in standards and the latter are clearly winning in the public narrative. How in the world is good journalistic practice publishing trash opinions and puff pieces on people that don't deserve it but anything with seemingly some merit too it, oh can't do that yet, we have standards. That's bull****.

People are still insisting about journalistic practice when the wackos on the internet are starting to kill them and none of them have any or care. If they keep playing the old game, they will lose.

Interesting: I'm "the type." What type is that exactly?

Btw, I haven't read the dossier.

PS: The goal of journalism is not to win the public narrative.

Former President George W. Bush reportedly reacted to President Trump's inauguration speech by saying, "That was some weird s--t."

According to a new report by New York magazine, three people present at the event say they heard Bush say, "That was some weird s--t" after the swearing in ceremony concluded.

One thing I don't get about your posts wheatrich is that you're all-in for the news media becoming a partisan instrument that values aggressively pushing the Dem agenda over moderation and playing by "the rules."

But then when we talk about actual Dem politicians acting hyper-partisan and not playing by the traditional "rules," e.g. filibustering Gorsuch, you complain.

You have it totally backwards imo. Politicians are supposed to play politics. The news is supposed to tell the truth. Not being able to trust the news is third world country ****. It's bad for democracy.

I think it would just be nice if the media acted roughly equal to liberal and conservative politicians. Remember all the breathless coverage of weiner-email-ghazi?

The media is liberal like Walmart is liberal. They oppose the bathroom bill and they put solar panels on their stores, but the NYT's biggest shareholder is worth $50B and MSNBC is owned by Comcast so they don't get too liberal.

Speaking of that, what has MSNBC said about the anti-privacy bill? (doesn't make the top 20 stories on the front page of msnbc.com)
