If its the latter, then a bunch of Senators and Congress people did the "worst thing" ever too.

Emotion-based morals. Fitting.

And if you were a green card holder who came from one of those 7 countries, you wouldn't be allowed back in after your trip

Trump will reverse the ban in a few months claiming that new procedures are in place so it ain't necessary any more. People will accept the new tough procedures without too much complaint because they know it could be worse (i.e. reinstating the ban).

Ban all the citizens you want as long as no one bombs us it's ok!

If you see any Muslims unable to re-enter the country, give 'em a nice hearty wave.

Onlookers yell at man drowning in a Venice canal: ‘Go back where you came from’

Quote:
As the man bobbed in the water, onlookers pulled out their smartphones.

“Go on, go back where you came from,”one man yelled. “Africa!” shouted another. “He is stupid. He wants to die,” said a third, caught on film. Someone in a nearby water bus threw out a life vest, but the man in the water didn't grab on. Spectators began to wonder if he was suicidal. One woman suggested to a neighbor that he was just pretending.

Finally, tourists at Venice's Grand Canal began to laugh as 22-year-old Pateh Sabally of Gambia drowned in the canal's icy waters.

Roe will never be overturned.
But for argument's sake, if it was, we'd have legal abortion in ~35 states by the end of the year either by initiative petition from the people of the individual states or by the people's own chosen representatives.

Obergefell will never be overturned.
But for argument's sake, if it was, we'd have marriage equality in ~45 states by the end of the year either by initiative petition from the people of the individual states or by the people's own chosen representatives.

No law is ever settled, but the arc of the moral universe is long, and it bends towards justice.

Do it.
I'm in IL, all D fed reps :/. So it would be to vote the current D's out for better ones. Otherwise I'd have to move like to WI or IA or some ridic thing... all for one measly vote :/

I don't agree with much about the party at all but I'm 1000000% anti-authoritarian and that's what this group of people's goal clearly is. (among other things they're doing I'm against)

For your own good, you might want to write down now what the minimum is it would take to make you think we're headed to something like that. The reason to write it down now is that it might change as you become normalized bit-by-bit.

I don't have to defend it.

I really don't.

We already witnessed how Trump's rhetoric empowered all types of haters in the US. I think it gets worse now.

Fine, let's write it down.

The forced removal of minority (religious or ethnic) United States citizens from their homes.

These people can not be argued with, they can only be defeated.
