Guy on C-SPAN phone line said his deductible went from $200 to $10,000 because of Obamacare. Also, illegal aliens and people who never worked are the only ones who benefited from it.

Meh, yes and no, I think he's right in the cases where employers pay undocumented workers under the table, as they aren't typically getting anything withheld and then sent to the IRS. Those who are being paid correctly would of course have withholding and then they don't file so IRS keeps whatever refund they'd be entitled to. But then why would you report income on an illegal worker?

How does that work? I'm genuinely curious. When I transmit payroll info to IRS in includes employee info as well afaik. Couldn't they see right away that I'm employing undocumented folks and withholding FICA and federal and medicare taxes?
