Online is another beast. But face to face i haven't found this to be true. They change their minds on things, even trump. Maybe you are doing it wrong. Are you friendly with any trump supporters? Are you an ass when you talk politics? Well you can be an ass but you should be a funny one...

If the dems want to win going after trump voters is the wrong move. Go after non voters and energize democrats who didn't vote with a likable candidate.

But if you got the time and you are around trump voters, even if you are tilting at windmills, why not plant seeds?

This is a weird spot for me. My political beliefs basically come down to noone should suffer needlessly. So I dont want Trump supporters to suffer but at the same time they gleefully supported rhetoric that would make alot of people suffer until they realised months down the line that they themselves will suffer too.

He meant you are going to be punished because Trump is POTUS.

I don't know if you're trolling or not, but you might not be up for this forum. There's meanness, trolling, jokes, etc.

Also, no one makes ovens out of wood.

I'm sure this has already been mentioned but here goes.

I can't believe I am saying this but Trump gunning for reelection right out of the gate is actually a smart thing to do. Reconnecting with his mobbish followers on a weekly basis will only strengthen his hold on them.

Have you watched any of his rallies? It's like watching a cult gathering.
I've watched one and a half right after his deranged press conference in hopes of more fireworks but he's too comfortable in front of his base. It doesn't matter what he says either.

Dunno mang, he has to trip up something fierce in order for his base to turn on him.

I'm not trolling. Yes this is a kind of a negative forum and there are forums that are better. But I try to be thick-skinned.

I was referring to the Jews. Thrown into the woods? In the oven?

I mean I'm not a Jew, but I'm just randomly using a victim card.

Right after I realised Trump is Hitler, I called 911 for increased heart rate and the paramedics looked like Nazis, ready to take me to concentration camp. Was just weird. I did do some marijuana.

fox news is reporting NSA supposedly has a "smoking gun" (their words) that obama spied on trump. (basically saying they think they can prove the foreign intel was intentionally trump spying)

Death of democratic and republican party one time?

Called it earlier in this thread; they're gonna try to get there first at least in public opinion.

It still at least today with the info we have looks like they were doing the equivalent of watching the drug dealer and members of trump team just showed up buying drugs and they're like oh hi there. Can't just ignore that.

Now we have NSA vs FBI showdown? What in the ****?

The elitism that I've witnessed has little to do with a PhD or even education. It's not that these liberals are elite, but think that they are. They are intolerant and unwilling to put up with any dissent. If you disagree with them even a little, you are just as much of a dumb, scummy, piece of garbage as someone who has a 180 degree polar opposite view from their ideology. They left no room in the center, which is why Trump is now our president. The good news is, I suspect it won't be for long.

Yeah I'm beginning to think that both parties are evil. Right now I think Bernie Sanders is good.

If you're making a holocaust reference you just say "into the ovens" and leave the wood part out of it.

There's no way to say this without being condescending, so my apologies for that, but if you're in a fragile state keep in mind that a lot of people are venting here, including me, and don't take it too seriously.

He's trying to push apathy through the idea that Democrats + Republicans are both awful. It's going to be a very common tactic for gimmicks + bots over the next few years. He might actually be Russian.

Once a good portion of his "base" starts losing their healthcare coverage, meals on wheels, discovering lead in their water, etc., they'll turn on him fast enough.

I'd be worried about his threat to leave ACA in place as is if the GOP doesn't get with the program (because many of his base would left unharmed and continue supporting him), but he's going to quit anyway after all the Russia and emolument stuff hits the fan.

Me? No. Another problem 2+2 has that it has these smart users coming up with far-fetched theories. I think Putin is awful. There. I don't wanna say my exact country cos then you get fed to create some more crazy theories why I'm in the country I'm in.

I think ISIS is bad too. I'm in the side of humanity, as I hope everyone here is.

The thing is, he doesn't need his hardcore, rabid base to turn on him in 2020 to lose. A tiny percentage of his middle-of-the-road casual voters of the "I HATE HILLARY!!!!!" mindset decide to flip, and he's gone. His margin for error is almost nonexistent. His combined margin of victory in WI/PA/MI/FL was 191,000, with AZ and NC being pretty tight, too.

A lot of Dems are neo-liberals. Cornel West has some interesting stuff about this.

But again I wanna point out that Putin is awful.

I mean just blindly following the Democratic agenda isn't good. People need to stay woke, that's all.

Right now I think Dems have it more right than the Republicans.

That's why U.S. has been a good country that there are two opposite forces and one party doesn't get their way. European system is also pretty good where there are many parties.

Conservative elitism is the same. Gays shouldn't have rights. Minorities shouldn't have rights. America is the greatest country in the world and NEVER SAY OTHERWISE. They don't put up with dissent, that's why they are so anti-political correctness.

I seriously don't think there is any difference between conservative and liberal "elitism." Both sides don't tolerate dissent. Both sides think they are right 100%. Both sides laugh at the other for being dumb or whatever.
03-24-2017 , 12:33 AM
Yeah I red them all it is a very good read with like 36 subtweets. One of the best layouts of the "fake" Russian scandal I have seen.

Yeah. I have no idea why the country is so divisive at the moment. Certainly largely cos of Trump, but it was somewhat divided in the Obama years also.

raheem,

A lot of people here, including myself and einbert, think the Democratic Party sucks. It's just that the GOP is much worse and Trump is intolerable. Bernie Sanders and Cornell West are great and along with einbert, myself and about 80% of this forum they are hoping to Trump to be driven out of office.
