The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Paul Ryan is an amateur fratboy nublet in way over his head. His political equity was sunk the day he took the speaker jerb.

Gun to my head I still think Trump gets his way. Wouldn't bet on it or anything but I feel like they fall in line.

Did anyone see Ryan in that quick presser? It is on CNN's twitter feed, he looked pissed!

I’m an average citizen, like you. I could be your neighbor, your co-worker, a member of your extended family. I’m also one of the many, many people who recently voted to release millions of furious hornets into the air all around us. And I can already say I regret that decision.

Initially, I didn’t really want to choose between unleashing endless legions of angry stinging hornets and not unleashing them. Frankly, I wasn’t particularly excited about either option. But not releasing the hornets just felt like asking for more of the same, you know? I wasn’t voting for releasing the hornets per se, so much as I was voting for the change that releasing the hornets represented.

Thank you. But not convert in the religious sense. Trump is using Christianity to **** people over.

Edit: If you really mean covert, I don't know what it means in this context.

It's not just Americans who are getting screwed by Trump.

I'm slightly autistic so I can't understand jokes well. Now I get it.

He said "who doesn't have a legal background." Every such person = rando for this discussion. Elon Musk = rando, Noam Chomsky = rando. They don't belong on SCOTUS. Terrible terrible terrible idea.

Not much for conspiracies but I think it's becoming more clear this was all orchestrated by Bannon in order to get rid of Ryan as Speaker. Seems to be most logical result given Trump insists it goes to the floor tomorrow even if they don't have the votes they need.

That's prolly just paranoia. Lot of paranoia going on at the moment. No-one knows what's going on.

They are purposefully failing right now to save face as they know they don't want to actually pass the bill. They will move on to other issues and say they tried but were blocked, vote whomever they oppose out to get things accomplished will be the message for the mid-terms. Hopefully the message does not resonate by the mid-terms.

As bad as it sounds, the bill getting blocked is helping republicans going forward. If no one loses insurance, no one is feeling pain, no one will vote against them (who otherwise would not already) especially if the economy is still going good.

This is going to pass. The freedom caucus is spineless and they will cave. So will the "moderates."

You wagering on it? Both the betting sites and market are pretty skiddish on the result. Not as much confidence as your opinion.

Agreed this passes

Well, when I'm presented with such a situation, I'll think something like, "Hm, I wonder if he means a 'rando' or something more specific that couldn't be expounded upon in 140 characters," and then if after thinking this I still feel passionate I'll look for any follow-up, but to each his own.
