Also since you seem to be in the know about Horowitz, what's your theory why he left the left, shifted from being a marxist to a conservative, and adopted the truth? Maybe the black panthers killing innocent people was too much, or once the truth about Soviet Union was revealed, and he was tired of the utopia and thought police?
Uh you posted about it like five times then I responded that you clearly hadn't read it, but you never confirmed that obvious theory until now.

This paragraph

Quote:
Perhaps most revealing of all are the Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee — charged with investigating these matters — who recently told BuzzFeed how petrified they are of what the Democratic base will do if they do not find evidence of collusion, as they now suspect will likely be the case. “There’s a tangible frustration over what one official called ‘wildly inflated’ expectations surrounding the panel’s fledgling investigation,” BuzzFeed’s Ali Watkins wrote.

Referenced (I underlined here to show where the piece's original link was) this article

Which cites a whole bunch of anonymous br0s

All the officials requested anonymity to more openly discuss the sensitive investigation.

Okay, well to be fair to Greenwald, you originally said he published today reiterating the nothingburgerness of this but that piece is actually from a week ago, which might as well be a year at the speed this thing is currently moving.

Rumor out the Dems will cave on Gorsuch in exchange for a promise McConnell won't nuke the filibuster for the next nominee.

I SWEAR TO GOD CHUCK SCHUMER I WILL BE OUTSIDE YOUR PARK SLOPE APT IMMEDIATELY IF YOU PULL THIS ****
03-22-2017 , 10:02 PM
Yeah I'm sure McConnell will keep that promise.

What a bunch of pussies.

Where we probably have a very mild disagreement is that I don't think the ways liberals are talking about Russia is particularly illustrative of that problem. I think it's mostly just people reacting to news as it happens. I guess you could argue that we're too easily distracted by the Russia stuff from making the more basic political arguments, but it doesn't seem that likely to me that -- absent Russia news -- Democrats would be doing much better at getting to that. I mean, I shuddered at your line about post-Trump Democrats passing AHCA and confirming Gorsuch in a show of unity, but I think it's grimly accurate and makes this point.

And there are obvious reasons why the Russia news is actually news and worth talking about, so for that reason it seems to me that the discussion about grand strategy, narratives, and all that can be separated from complaints about talking about Russia, at least somewhat.
There is no way the Dems would pass AHCA if Trump were impeached. GOP would be in shambles and Dems, despite their incompetence, know enough to know that is not the time to repeal the signature achievement of their most recent president.

I am less certain about Gorsuch but think that is unlikely as well.

In his statement on Monday Comey said the FBI began looking into possible coordination between Trump campaign associates and suspected Russian operatives because the bureau had gathered "a credible allegation of wrongdoing or reasonable basis to believe an American may be acting as an agent of a foreign power."

Idk if you all read that cnn article posted above, but this paragraph is striking to me. Thoughts on who it is?

John McCain also calling for independent committee tonight.

Really? Surely not.

I thought they were unbiased.

Why doesn't the GOP adopt a solid plan that's already in use by nation "x". It's kind of lazy, but if it worked for Melania's speech....

Cross-posted from Trump's America. Unfortunately this isn't getting nearly the media attention as the other terrorist incident, possibly because it was carried out by a white man.

Cnn left? Duh much? At least they had the decency during the whole Obama wiretap story to stick with the no evidence narrative.

While over on Fox, not only did they have Trump's back (for the most part) the judge one upped the claim by involving another nation.

lol

Someone reporting news you don't like to hear does not mean that the news that's being reported is biased.

At the gym with CNN on and their headline seems wishy washy: "U.S. officials: info _suggests_ Trump associates _may have_ coordinated with Russia"

They're certainly hedging their bets while trying to look as scary as possible.

I'm going to continue to keep my expectations low. Even if they have a smoking gun, Trumpkins do not give a ****. As far as they are concerned, Trump getting elected is the greater good, and if it took colluding w/ Russia for that to happen, that's the price we pay. The sad part is that elected officials (i.e., most of GOPe) who should know better will start making that argument too, if they think that's what the base wants to hear.

I really don't think it's going to be long before the GOP congresscritters, basically go with something like, "Well maybe Trump did "coordinate" with the Russians, but really was just playing Putin and besides he basically had to do it. He would have been remiss had he not done everything possible to save us from an HRC presidency. Now let's move on."
