The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Remember that when Kyp talks about Horowitz and other people he thinks are smart (lol), he's referring to a dude who peddled a book on Soros conspiracies. This is the guy asserting "intellectual honesty"

im still in complete disbelief that Nunes somehow managed to say he didnt know Page or Stone.

both possible meanings seem completely impossible
03-22-2017 , 05:59 PM
Nunes said he wasn't gonna bring page or stone in for testimony 3 weeks ago.

So he just lied or "forgot".

also did schiff more or less straight claim he saw direct evidence of collusion? That's gotta be way too soon in the process to say that, but maybe he feels cornered after nunes stunt.

Could just be last minute bargaining. If they're really going to proceed with a vote then dealing Trump a no is a pretty big blow to his presidency early on.

If you put a gun to my head I would bet it passes.

It's even shorter in Russian, so that should make it easier still.

Sure, but if the US and North Korea go at it then South Korea have a bit of an interest and I'd presume the US would like some kind of bases there. But note that this intel is purely based on my average map reading ability.

Devin Nunes must think we are all idiots to try such blatant misdirection. Backing up a liar (Trump) in order to deflect from investigation.

To be fair, crossing Putin tends not to go so well in the category of being alive. Also, yeah looking at the internet atm people are that dumb, hope it's not the majority of us.

The one thing the right does well is take complex scandals and reduce them into easy-to-remember narratives for supporters to parrot. Even smarter is that they provide leading information that allow supporters to ad lib their own information, no matter how inaccurate it is, and present it as undisputed truth.

But look at Trump and Russia. All of the articles are basically tiny bits of information that aren't really organized into something that could be easily recited. If you asked your typical anti-Trumper about the Trump/Russia issue, their description would look like this:

That can't be effectively used as a weapon against Trump. It needs to be well-organized before being released. This drip-drip of information has little to no impact and is keeping pressing matters such as genetic testing for jobs, ****ty health care bill, Muslim ban 2.0, and SCOTUS hearing for Gorusch off the front page.

I'm not saying that Trump/Russia isn't important. It is and it's possibly more important than all of the above problems combined which is why it's so important to get this right and not **** it up by allowing it to be the sprawling cluster**** that it is now. If this isn't being sharpened into a simplified narrative, then it will be for nothing.

And since you don't seem to be in the know, here the paraphrased oath from WH 40k:

"Trust in the God Emperor Trump at the hour of battle.
Trust to him to intercede, and protect his warriors true as they deal death on alien soil.
Turn their seas to red with the blood of their slain.
Crush their hopes, their dreams
And turn their songs into cries of lamentation."

- "Uphold the honour of the Emperor", vow of the Trump Supporters

With the oath our God Emperor Trump can hit 50%+ approval ratings.

A group of the most conservative House members met with the president at the White House on Wednesday. On Tuesday afternoon, Mr. Trump met with moderate House Republicans for over an hour in the Oval Office to entertain their concerns, but did not appear to have a clear grasp of the policy specifics in question, some of them said.

The US would like some kind of bases there? We have 23k military personnel stationed in 12 bases in SK.
03-22-2017 , 06:37 PM
I was meaning bases for a war - but didn't realise that already had that kind of presence.

So maybe the identy of one of the people that Nunes could piece together was none other than Nunes himself, since he was on the transition team.

Yeah this is basically the equivalent of calling someone with African heritage a n**ger, so I'm not surprised that you find it amusing.

It's also not a big surprise that Trump says stuff like that. Being a racist piece of **** is kind of his thing.

I have to admit GOP executives are so much better at using their bully pulpit than the Dems. LBJ was the last Dem to really get it right and he was awful in many ways

You claiming that I find the n-word amusing is borderline calling me racist and something that only a really nasty person would claim.

But the plot twist is that she apparently has no native American heritage, no proof and even Native American groups are getting agitated by her antics. So is Trump mislabeling her, what kind of bigot is that?

Perhaps they could go to Dr Phil and Oprah and hold hands and mediate this crisis. Two smartest people in U.S. politics can't let this kind of rivalry cloud their judgement and sabotage bipartisanship.

Even if that was true, and I don't care one way or the other, why does it make it ok for racial slurs? I don't get to call you ****** if you're white.
03-22-2017 , 07:01 PM
So you don't only agree with a black person and a Jew, you also agree with some Native American groups. You really can't be racist, can you?

so you're saying if he called a guy who claimed he was partly black a n-word it wouldnt be bigotry because the guy was misrepresenting his ancestry in the first place.

Lol at you

really are a good representation of the average trumper

So Nunes finds out about some incidental surveillance and runs to daddy Trump. Shouldn't Trump have responded by saying "yeah, that's what I was talking about when I said I was wiretapped." Instead, Trump says he's glad they found something and it makes him feel somewhat vindicated. So isn't he basically admitting he was just tossing out a gigantic lie in his tweet? And now he's happy because he may have luckboxed into something that's not quite as damning?
