The one thing the right does well is take complex scandals and reduce them into easy-to-remember narratives for supporters to parrot. Even smarter is that they provide leading information that allow supporters to ad lib their own information, no matter how inaccurate it is, and present it as undisputed truth.
But look at Trump and Russia. All of the articles are basically tiny bits of information that aren't really organized into something that could be easily recited. If you asked your typical anti-Trumper about the Trump/Russia issue, their description would look like this:
That can't be effectively used as a weapon against Trump. It needs to be well-organized before being released. This drip-drip of information has little to no impact and is keeping pressing matters such as genetic testing for jobs, ****ty health care bill, Muslim ban 2.0, and SCOTUS hearing for Gorusch off the front page.
I'm not saying that Trump/Russia isn't important. It is and it's possibly more important than all of the above problems combined which is why it's so important to get this right and not **** it up by allowing it to be the sprawling cluster**** that it is now. If this isn't being sharpened into a simplified narrative, then it will be for nothing.
