The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

Some of us are born smart; some of us are born to listen to people like Ben Shapiro.

These Trump supporters "get" that he's a fascist on a very basic level (even if they might not be able to define the word "fascist" for you).

Q: Who are we going to lock up in 2020?
Trump supporter: Whoever runs against him, I guess.

That saying is weird as he does not include a category for himself.

i see they mention that 8 figure sum of wire xfers that he was revealed to have receieved from the kremlin back in the campaign season. iirc, he resigned as campaign manager almost instantly after that news story broke

Spicer, pressed on a number of Trump associates' connections to Russian operatives, claimed Manafort played a "limited role (in the campaign) for a very limited amount of time."

How true is it that Manafort selected Pence?

The 2016 election was just a month away when Steve Curtis, a conservative radio host and former Colorado Republican Party chairman, devoted an entire episode of his morning talk show to the heated topic of voter fraud.

“It seems to me,” Curtis said in the 42-minute segment, “that virtually every case of voter fraud I can remember in my lifetime was committed by Democrats.”

On Tuesday, Colorado prosecutors threw a wrench into that already dubious theory, accusing Curtis of voter fraud for allegedly filling out and mailing in his ex-wife’s 2016 ballot for president, Denver’s Fox affiliate reported.

From what I read, he resigned his official position but was still around in an unofficial position all the way until the election.

This could bring trump down imo. Video all.over the place implicating him with manafort. Comey MUST be excited today

this really feels like the link that pulls it all together

I feel like a fool rejoicing in anything given what's happened, but this one looks pretty good. The fact in itself that Spicer is distancing the campaign from Manafort seems to be an admission of sorts.

I seriously think so. He has been rumored to be on tin transition team etc. Spicer straight lies about his role, that is public record. There are hundreds of videos on you tube of trump advisors showering him with praise. He personally is ****ed and going to jail imo and he will bring trump and others with him. He clearly is a double agent.

Incoming Trumpet response...

Spoiler:

Manafort was obviously a crook/mafia/oligarch dude from the very beginning. Just look at him.

But, I don't think him going to prison or getting thrown out of a 4th story window is going to be enough by itself to bring Trump down. It's a step though.

Interesting analysis re: Gorsuch from Nina Totenberg

Basically she's saying that, like Scalia, Gorsuch is a big believer in 'money corrupting the political process' = 'free speech,' but, unlike Scalia, doesn't give a **** about disclosure because the privacy rights of big donors matter more than the public's right to know who is funding elections/ads/attacks. IOW he's worse than Scalia on campaign finance.

He was the campaign chairman!

From August:
Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort resigns
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.4f9af68a57d3
Quote:
Donald Trump’s presidential campaign endured another day of internal disruption Friday when Paul Manafort, who as campaign chairman had sought to build bridges with the Republican establishment by encouraging a more temperate and consistent message from the GOP nominee, abruptly resigned after a staff shake-up that had reduced his role.

The decision came during a critical week in the campaign, with Trump under pressure from Republican leaders and wealthy contributors to re-balance his candidacy after weeks of missteps that have left him trailing Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in national and battleground-state polls. The resignation also followed increased scrutiny of Manafort's earlier work in Ukraine on behalf of pro-Russian figures, including the country's former president, Viktor Yanukovych.

Manafort’s departure leaves the campaign more firmly under the guidance of newly installed chief executive Stephen K. Bannon, formerly of Breitbart News, and veteran pollster Kellyanne Conway, who was elevated to campaign manager earlier in the week.
