Careful. If his approval rating gets too law, we might really get war with North Korea. He might think of it as a swell way to distract from his failing poll #'s.

The SMP crowd in unchained thinks as long as they assert Asians are smarter than whites, they can say whatever random bull**** they want about other races.

Sorry for the rant, but geeeez.
so much this I find myself posting some version of this monthly. posters like lew, sushy, et al lack critical thinking skills and are happy being ignorant. nothing you say will change their parochial mindset. stop feeding the trolls

I thought all politicians were useless liars and the system was broken enough that it didn't really matter who won any election, things would end up more or less the same. That belief, plus the fact that my individual vote didn't matter, led me to view voting as a waste of time and effort. I didn't even register because I thought it was so useless.

I just registered to vote, and my state (KY) makes you pick a party (or independent). I registered Democrat. Clearly I was wrong about a lot of things.

When I was in my 20s I would have fallen on the extreme left of the spectrum. I carried my copy of No Logo and attended many WTO protests. As I've aged, run a business, and obsessively read economics over the past ten years I've become much more fiscally conservative, leaning libertarian. I am still on the far left socially.

Before Trump, I was somewhat likely to vote for a candidate from the right, and in fact did so once.

Trump has wholly and completely reversed this personal trend. The degree to which the American right is disingenuous about thier own politics, their level of racism and xenophobia and that fact that too much of the Canadian right supports them virtually gaurentees that I will never vote conservative in my lifetime.

I wonder if this is a trend of any kind?
I haven't changed that much politically though as I've gotten older and run a few different businesses and read a fair amount of politics and economics I've become more left economically if anything.

Canada and the US are fundamentally the same kind of system, but in degrees of social welfare and militarism the US is so far to the right of Canada that a lot of your thinking you were fiscally conservative or whatever might not translate well to the US. If you liked Reagan or GHWBush, Dole, McCain or Romney, you just might not have understood how far they were from anything Canadian.

Staff at Detroit's Henry Ford Hospital heard reports of nurses unable to renew their working visas. Last week, a new Canadian hire at Henry Ford tried to go to work, but was turned away at the Windsor-Detroit border.

She was told advanced practice nurses and nurse anesthetists no longer qualify for the working visas because of policy changes under U.S. President Donald Trump.

"We really question the motives," said immigration lawyer Marc Topoleski, whose firm is retained by the hospital. "All of the immigration executive orders and all the things being rolled out have been focused on national security first, and this is clearly not an issue of national security whatsoever."

Only advanced practice nurses and nurse anesthetists are being rejected. All Canadian nurses working in the U.S. have non-immigrant NAFTA professional (TN) visas.

An estimated 30,000 to 40,000 Canadians work in the U.S. with TN visas, which allow experts in certain fields — like economics and science — a fast track, provided they have*a job offer.

Very interesting that our very knowledgeable State Department, part of the America First Administration chose to essentially tell China he we are equals and you do your thing and that's cool.

Was always concerned a Trump administration would fail at diplomacy because words mean things but good to see Rex is not going to bound for the long time context, history and meaning of words or just saw crazy things that give away more leverage to China. The best negotiator in the world and his SoS have just given away negotiating leverage hand over fist with China.

While a lot more immediate issues the way we are handling china and will likely continue to handle them will have lasting consequences for the world and America.

Yea the more Trump is at the golf course, the better. Still, it's fun to point out the hypocrasy with the right screaming fiscal conservative for the past 8 years when the Orange King is spending $$$ on a hobby.

I wouldn't doubt that it would cause some cognitive dissonance if not a full on "show me where the KKK killed thousands of white people!!!"

LOL He wants to personally give them lie detector tests. Of course Rand Paul is dumb enough to still think lie detector tests are a real scientific thing.
He literally said that it was a waste of time for repubs to investigate other repubs, this should come as exactly zero surprise, he's in the bag for Trump until it becomes expedient not to be. Total empty suit.
