BMOL,

Lawyer on Hannity right now just predicted 8-0 (or 9-0 with Gorsuch) against! Any further thoughts on taking the offered bet?

These trump rallies are just sad. While his support is still around the same in the polls, it's definitely less fervent. My hot take is that if the election is a month earlier or later he loses. He peaked at the right time.

Also, if this actually goes to scotus, I'll bet at even odds that it is unanimously ruled unconstitutional vs. you taking it splitting 4-4 (or 5-4 if they get another confirmation before).
I don't gamble with strangers on the internet, but otherwise I'd take the other side of this.

I've not read anything that suggests they've figured out the lights, after that article in January about the meetings in the dark

Warner declined to comment on the Wednesday meeting with Comey, but said he expects the Senate Intelligence Committee to start announcing the next steps of its investigation soon.

"I think we'll have news soon on hearings and … when we're going to start to be interviewing witnesses," he told reporters, indicating an announcement could come in the next few days.
Well that's interesting.

So Trump decides to double down by saying let's go back to the original ban even though that ban was ruled unconstitutional. Dude's loony tunes.
03-15-2017 , 11:19 PM
If I were the AUSA, I would argue that you cannot consider Trump's campaign rhetoric because he is a known liar. Instead you must consider just the 4 corners of the EO and not try to peer into his evil and malignant heart.

So some of the wackiness, he'll really believe, others he'll just lie about, it's sometimes difficult to tell which is which.

Rand Paul has a point, why the hell we spending $ to protect montenegro, it's a small country.

McCain has a good counterpoint--because **** Putin that's why. Tho way too far on the putin puppet comment.

I'm good, but in service of whipping up action for you, I'll just say I think the Bybee dissent, citing Kennedy and Alito giving a ton of leeway to the executive branch on immigration, seems like it would be pretty compelling for the conservative side of the Court.

So small countries should fend for themselves?

Marginal cost of adding Montenegro to NATO gotta be near zero, right?

Why should we get involved in affairs that are none of our business?

Why should we defend a country or possibly get into a war with russia over a country that doesn't impact america at all?

(I'm all aboard the **** Putin train btw, but this mindset that america should police the world or fight everyone's battles is absurd)

anyway, trump now blaming NYT for a jan 20th article (how does he remember the date, it's almost like someone told him to say that) for his wiretap claims, ofc everyone knows it's the breitbart article that was ran that day but whatever.

No it's better than zero because they get extra bases to use.
03-15-2017 , 11:46 PM
It's probably negative. Pisses off Russia, Montenegro ain't gonna pay up, more stuff I'm not thinking of atm. This extra bases is ridic, we've already got the world covered pretty well.

Maybe this information will provide some insight as to why it makes sense for them to join NATO.

You guys who think the Cold War ended are tripping. USA was simply so #1 at the time that we were able to declare it over because it was good politics for Ronnie.

Trump's comments today reminded me of a 5 year old having a temper tantrum not getting his way. Like who the **** says something like this?

"I have to be nice otherwise I'll get criticized for -- for speaking poorly about our courts. I'll be criticized by these people, among the most dishonest people in the world," Trump said referring to reporters in the room.

"They'll bend over backwards to present it as somewhat normal and not completely Constitution-threatening, but THAT STILL WON'T BE GOOD ENOUGH when they report on what I say about the so-called judges and how I think we should break up the 9th circuit. WAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
