BTW it's 100% totally legal to publish tax returns and any lawsuit to the contrary would get laughed out of court.

It's illegal to steal or leak tax returns, but publishing them is absolutely protected speech

Trump leaks the best 2 pages of his returns for the last 40 years and he's got MSNBC proving he makes money and pays a lot of taxes.

There is a 99.9% chance Trump's Twitter will disagree in the next 12 hours.

Ok, i'm turning this off, waste of 30 minutes of my life.

The discussion about AMT that Trump wants to get rid of is actually quite interesting.

if there is a lawsuit, would that lead to more taxes in the discovery process or whatever?
03-14-2017 , 09:31 PM
at least spicer briefings are entertaining. can't believe i hunted down a periscope stream for that
03-14-2017 , 09:32 PM
Trump leaked these so he could pick more fights with the media and to distract the public from Russia and the health care debacle.

Probably not, and if so they'd be filed under seal.

Probably not. Discovery is just lawyers asking each other questions and then refusing to answer a bunch of those questions for various reasons, then whining to a judge about the other guy's reasons not being good enough. I can't see how other year's tax returns would be relevant.

The reason why they were a part of that one guy's lawsuit was that Trump sued him for claiming Trump was lying about how wealthy he was, so discovery for that got that reporter Trump's taxes because it's relevant to the factual issue.

Maddow deciding to blow her credibility on one night of ratings is going to be in journalism textbooks
03-14-2017 , 09:38 PM
Don't fret boys, this was probably leaked by the Orange fuhrer himself to distract from the real news which is comey tomorrow. CNN reporting he will meet with 2 senators privately to tell them, feels like it's something to me especially now with the timing of this obvious distraction

Any info on which senators?

I actually like Rachel and watch her on a regular basis. This was meh and a waste of time.

I mean the story is fine but the lead up was wholly unnecessary imo

Also the taxes are stamped "Client Copy" so nonzero chance that he released them himself shoots up somewhat

Higher expectations for Maddow. I am disappoint. Didn't watch. Hopefully it's some 4d chess move.

Also disappointed to hear Comey is doing something tomorrow since Graham said he would go for a special select committee if he didn't.

Gallup poll highlight of the day.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/03/14/politi...ion/index.html

(CNN)Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse said Tuesday that FBI Director James Comey promised to tell him Wednesday whether the FBI is investigating ties between Russia and the campaign of President Donald Trump.

I'm sure maddow didn't think her tweet would go viral; just a standard tune in tonight ratings ploy. She could learn a lot from the children's story--the boy who cried wolf.
03-14-2017 , 09:46 PM
I think this Comey thing is being misreported. He's not going "public" tommorrow. He's going to answer to senators as to whether or not there is an FBI investigation into the Trump-Russia connection.

Report sucked, but no one is perfect.
