Probably not. Discovery is just lawyers asking each other questions and then refusing to answer a bunch of those questions for various reasons, then whining to a judge about the other guy's reasons not being good enough. I can't see how other year's tax returns would be relevant.
The reason why they were a part of that one guy's lawsuit was that Trump sued him for claiming Trump was lying about how wealthy he was, so discovery for that got that reporter Trump's taxes because it's relevant to the factual issue.
