But, w/e, it's certainly trivially easy to trace a path from Plato or Aristotle to Fascism as well, but you can trace a path from them to Ghandi in another route. In fact, the path from Thoreau to Tolstoy to Ghandi is really clear.
Thoreau was an abolitionist and, although I haven't read Civil Disobedience yet, I'm pretty sure he was big on personal liberty for all humans.
