At the moment Trump does the things he promised, or at least makes it seem as he would. We all hate those things because they are idiotic, but he killed TTP, makes it look like he is building a wall and reign in big government. For his supporters he is getting **** done.

Lets not forget, congress was already a a punch of people bought by corporate interest before Trump, so people (maybe even rightfully) don't give a **** what the press or the congress thinks. They hate them, so Trump giving them the finger is not a problem. Lets not forget that the US had this coming for a long time.

Trump supporters will turn quickly when he doesn't deliver. Because then he is one of those they hate.

Because if you read the rest of the article you see the state department has a unique beuracracy that requires someone experienced with it to effectively manage. There is no private sector analogue where you can just bring people in.

On top of the legal issues, the tax will mostly be passed on to the consumer, so it will be them that "pays for the wall".
