Oh, sorry, I actually meant who is Elliott Lusztig, the guy on Twitter. Is he known, or just a rando? People are frequently posting his tweets.

Because they believed these conspiracies that nobody was ever caught being involved in they figured it must be easy peasy to get away with their own conspiracy.
Bingo. They are running the government like they run their businesses. They have operated their entire lives under the assumption that when anything shady is found out, that's what lawyers are for. They finding out the hard way it doesn't work this way in government.

Seems optimistic to think so. They felt the same as every other tweetstorm of his of the past 2 years.

Trump did tweet something like "I bet a really good lawyer could find something on the wire tapping".

His MO is to steal a dollar from someone and have lawyers settle for paying 50 cents.

relevant, as trump fired at obama for putin remarks.

people voted a guy who said this and thought it was a good thing he's pres.

Them writing "claiming without evidence" is important, they normally don't word it in a way that makes it obvious they are calling bs

Tilting at windmills is an English idiom which means attacking imaginary enemies. The word "tilt", in this context, comes from jousting.

The phrase is sometimes used to describe confrontations where adversaries are incorrectly perceived, or courses of action that are based on misinterpreted or misapplied heroic, romantic, or idealistic justifications. It may also connote an importune, unfounded, and vain effort against adversaries real or imagined for a vain goal.[1]

Quote:

Just then they came in sight of thirty or forty windmills that rise from that plain. And no sooner did Don Quixote see them that he said to his squire, "Fortune is guiding our affairs better than we ourselves could have wished. Do you see over yonder, friend Sancho, thirty or forty hulking giants? I intend to do battle with them and slay them. With their spoils we shall begin to be rich for this is a righteous war and the removal of so foul a brood from off the face of the earth is a service God will bless."

"What giants?" asked Sancho Panza.

"Those you see over there," replied his master, "with their long arms. Some of them have arms well nigh two leagues in length."
"Take care, sir," cried Sancho. "Those over there are not giants but windmills. Those things that seem to be their arms are sails which, when they are whirled around by the wind, turn the millstone."
— Part 1, Chapter VIII. Of the valourous Don Quixote's success in the dreadful and never before imagined Adventure of the Windmills, with other events worthy of happy record.

I swear this entire event is a result of our collective cultural illiteracy and lack of curiosity. Pathetic (not you guys).

I'm with you. People simply don't care enough. People are caught up in their own lives to care about others and the entire grand scheme of things.

Right I'm just saying, by making an enemy out of windmills he's also tilting at windmills in the metaphorical sense. Kind of a double whammy there. Plus windmills are good anyway.

I think it's more that the political/business elite are so lacking in self-awareness that they don't even realize they're criminals. They think the standard rules of never talk business on the phone and never put anything in writing aren't meant for them. They set up their mass surveillance system to use against their enemies without ever thinking that some of the thousands of drones that operate this system might turn it against them.

Not great timing with Trump clearly wanting/needing a war after his Apprentice ratings tweets didn't distract anyone enough.

Nah, he went to war with Fox News last year. And Trump won. Murdoch was no fan of Trump's, but whenever Fox attacked Trump, ratings dropped and the right wing base attacked the channel, so eventually Murdoch went with "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em."

please tell me trump cant launch a nuke if he orders it.
there are safeguards right?
03-05-2017 , 09:52 PM
well is NK an enemy now from the trump perspective? I don't know, certainly nothing to offer trump but trump may not give a **** about them either. I assume they still hate us tho.
