LOL Now Pence is ranting on Twitter like his dear leader.

I was kinda with Pence until I read this part of the AP story he's complaining about:

Quote:
Pence and his wife, Karen Pence, have used their private accounts — mpence1314@aol.com and kspence1314@aol.com — to conduct official business dating back to at least 2013, according to separate records obtained by the AP.
Now I think he's just a little bit right. There's probably not a great reason to publish it, but if you're conducting state business on it then you have less grounds to complain your privacy was violated.

If you still use an aol.com email as well GTFO

seems after all the president can authorize a wiretap

Guess this all depends on whatever document floating around about the wiretap says.

lol at us if obama is the one who gets locked up. Who saw that twist coming?

Maybe the Russians are just flirting and throwing everything they can at the whole of Team Trump (trying to buy everyone off individually and unknowingly to each other?)
Russia are not coaching a bunch of yanks to become oligarchs, they are coaching them to make fools of themselves.

America is the first developed nation with advanced and supposedly robust institutions, to put an absolute uber moron crazy super tard in charge. Its just pure essence of damage to Yanklandia. Its a massive kick in the balls body blow against their geopolitical rival.

USA is rekt.

They're probably paying $29.99 a month for each account and using dial up.

Thoughts and prayers to the VP whose private email he used to avoid FOIA requests was revealed.

It's not all constructed, and of course he could force them. Who cares if it Id already purchased.

By that standard any company who has purchased steel from other places can use it until it is all gone. It's silly rhetoric not legitimate policy.

Wait until companies get waivers from trump because US steel is too expensive for a particular project.

I realize the steel is already there but this is about making America great again. It's not always going to be painless. Do you think Trump won't grant exceptions to other builders down the road? It's pretty much a guarantee.

My point is the policy is bs used to fuel the emotions of trump supporters and not something they actually care about implementing.

As for this pipeline they had reached a point where they might not be able to finish it at all. So having to acquire American steel and selling off the Russian/American steel seems like a small price to pay to MAGA.

The problem is foreign trade is much more complicated then writing an executive order saying USA.

Other than cost why should they not be required to use US steel? It's going to create jobs and out money in the pockets of American companies, allegedly. Seems like the perfect opportunity to say, "We really are serious about this." Of course better to set the table in the kickback for waivers scheme that inevitably will evolve.

I might be more concerned if I dicing view the whole idea as bs.

McMullin (at least I think it was him) was on one of the shows the other day talking about how the Russians would try to compromise somebody. He said they would just start with something small, maybe get them to reveal something they shouldn't have, and then they have them on the hook. And they will just push them to make bigger and bigger compromises.

It helps that Trump is so predictable and easily manipulated.

I think most of us on the correct side of things understand Trump is a raging racist while his supporters often claim racism isn't a thing but I still feel like if we got some actual audio evidence it would have a real impact.

One time for the apprentice tapes eventually getting out. It's too bad that Tom Arnold no longer has access to them, supposedly, but people out there have the tapes and I think it certainly would serve as a magnifier to all of Trump's horrible behavior.

Plus I want to see trump defenders defend him, which they would. Secondly I want to see what crazy stuff his administration would do trying to change the story.

Remember when trump said he was the least racist person you know? Member?

Trump and Putin are both autocrats and mafia lords. People harping on the compromised stuff too much--that wouldn't have gotten seemingly everyone else in on it.

Our constitution was designed to try to stop this crap in case it happened but it's certainly the toughest test we've ever had--last crazy pres was nixon [nukes love + paranoid= check] (not as stupid on many fronts but also do not think he was a mafia lord) but he never had either house/senate. Also, if america fails, that means basically nothing can stop a non stupid one if he has multiple branch control. Hard to imagine a stronger written one out there than ours. :/

https://www.bloomberg.com/politics/a...was-wiretapped
Quote:
Donald Trump relied on conservative media sources to make his explosive claim that former President Barack Obama had the then-candidate’s phones tapped during the 2016 election campaign, according to a person familiar with the situation.

A spokesman for Obama said Trump’s claims were “simply false,” and lawmakers urged Trump, if he had evidence of a wiretap, to make it public or at least disclose it to Congress.

“Just found out that Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower just before the victory,’’ Trump wrote Saturday on his personal Twitter account. “Nothing found. This is McCarthyism!’’

The president, who regularly has access to classified information and intelligence briefings, relied on Breitbart News for his information about the alleged wiretap, according to the person.

Breitbart, the media outlet previously run by White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon, published a story Friday outlining actions supposedly taken by the Obama administration to monitor Trump Tower in New York during the campaign. The story, which claimed the moves were aimed at undermining Trump’s candidacy, referenced commentary on Thursday by radio host Mark Levin that made similar claims.
‘Cardinal Rule’

Neither Breitbart News nor Levin cited independent reporting to back up the assertions. The White House declined to answer questions about whether Trump had been given an intelligence briefing on this, or how he intends to handle his concerns. Communications were restricted until the White House counsel reviewed the matter and decided whether to release a statement.

There is high level leaking going on with this administration. How does the press always know what's going on in these oval office meetings? Wouldn't it be crazy if it was someone like Reince Preibus heroically trying to save democracy by leaking all of this.

I wonder if, in considering a possible statement, a WH lawyer would for just a minute, pause to consider how he got to this point in his life.

From the letter from Pence's office: "I am unaware of the press publishing the private email account of any previous Second Lady."

Over/Under 3.5 former Second Ladies had email addresses while their husband was VPOTUS? Technically it's been possible since 1972, but realistically the late 80's are probably the first chance.

Really was a stroke of genius on your part coming up with the idea for this thread.

Not to jump on your case too hard, but this is a huge misconception in the part of the Dems: the idea that there exist reasonable, persuadable Republicans who supported Trump. They just don't. You could show them a video of Trump admitting that he likes to scream the N-word while raping women dressed up as a Klansman as Putin watches and Broadway Sushi would insist it's just a joke or hey remember how Robert Byrd was in the KKK anyway how come 2Chains can drop N-bombs and we can't --if you think about it, that's the real racism right there.

Trump being a racist ******* is a selling point to the Republican base. They already know he's a bigot. The people who insist racism ended 20 years ago are flat-out lying to you and not acting in good faith. The key to winning elections moving forward is not to persuade deplorables but to get the Democratic base to turn out.

Basically, zombie Sartre had the best take on 2017:

I'm pounding the under. Really doubt Quayle did and chance of any prior to that is ~0.
