If caring about more than only myself is "thinking with my emotions" then yes, I think with my emotions. I won't personally suffer if all the illegals get deported, but I still don't want it to happen, because my compassion for them outweighs the potential benefit of easily being able to find an $8/hr job if I'm ever looking for one. (Let me know if there are other benefits I'm unaware of.)
