Holy **** are they flailing. They are really going with the 'look over there' defense. Sorry drumpf I think you're in a little too deep for that now.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whataboutism
Quote:
Whataboutism is a term describing a propaganda technique used by the Soviet Union in its dealings with the Western world during the Cold War. When criticisms were levelled at the Soviet Union, the response would be "What about..." followed by the naming of an event in the Western world.[1][2] It represents a case of tu quoque (appeal to hypocrisy),[3] a logical fallacy which attempts to discredit the opponent's position by asserting the opponent's failure to act consistently in accordance with that position, without directly refuting or disproving the opponent's initial argument.

The term describing the technique was popularized in 2008 by Edward Lucas in an article for The Economist. Lucas said that this tactic is observed in the politics of modern Russia, along with this being evidence of a resurgence of Cold War and Soviet-era mentality within Russia's leadership.[1]

You can tell by the way Schumer is holding that donut that there's a piss tape on him somewhere. He looks way too nervous.

Trump's cabinet is almost done, it's minus two, one of which is only due to a recent pullout, the other hasn't had hearings start yet, so the senate has no nominations to do atm. The rest of the positions unfilled after that are because he hasn't appointed anyone, there's nothing to blame dems here for atm. This is one thing about the administration that is normal (not having the cabinet done yet), and ofc trump's complaining about it and blaming the dems.

Unlikely anything happens with lying to congress since it rarely does.

Every time Trump says, "honestly," I'm pretty sure he's lying. There have been examples of this before. It's his verbal tell.

Also, this is massive. This is Trump lying about having direct involvement in creating a pro-Russia GOP platform plank, while all sorts of people around him have met with Russia and lied about the meetings.

This is now the first direct benefit for Russia in exchange for helping him get the GOP nomination, and it can now be tied through Gordon's quotes straight to Trump, with the cherry on top - he lied about it.
