He didn't answer the question asked which was what will you do in terms of investigating ties to Russia. He flat out just volunteered that he never talked to them.

You can try and twist yourself in knots thinking he was just answering the question but what he said was unsolicited and just a statement not an answer to any question asked of him.

He was so worried about dodging a question about if he would do his job as AG, that he just jumped off a cliff and started lying about other stuff.

Shame on the senate for confirming him. They confirmed a guy who would not even commit to having enough integrity to do the actual job.
