He was asked about whether the hacking came up, I think (question audio was a little low):

"I'm not sure I even knew, when we set up the meeting, what was going on in the world at the time."

LOL

On the White House's opinion he shouldn't recuse himself, "They don't know the ethics rules."

Shocking.

Jeff Sessions admits that Jeff Sessions should not be in charge of investigating Jeff Session.

Kinda upset no reporters asked him why saying that he never met with any Russian officials isn't providing a false statement to Congress

Well to be honest, when we allow 70 year olds to run the country, we shouldn't be surprised if they forget things.

Last question seemed like a good one, and Sessions dodged it, unless I missed something. The question was about if he had forgotten about meeting with the Russian or if he just thought it was irrelevant.

edit

I guess he did seem to answer, after many words, that it was an oversight on his part to have omitted it. "with retrospect, I should have slowed down and said 'but I did meet one Russian official a couple of times."

Sessions should never have been investigating the Trump campaign (which he as a part of as early as last March!) in the first place. Recusal is no kind of solution. What a joke.

Maybe the transition team shouldn't have cancelled the ethics training program that Bush and Obama administration officials went through.
