If you were approached by Russians and didn't report it at the time, that could land you in hot water. I can see why stuff like that might not get out.

Probably, but it's not entirely clear that he would have prepped for the Russia question in the specific way it came up in the hearing.

If you watch the full lead up to the question, it looks like Franken gets a note from a staffer about a CNN report that has dropped during the hearing. Franken goes out of his way to make it clear that he's not asking Sessions to comment on the details of the story (b/c he knows Sessions hasn't seen it), but wants Sessions to talk about what he would do IF those allegations turn out to be true/ credible.

My guess is Sessions probably prepped one or two benign sound bites about the Russia stuff and then panicked and started spewing when Franken started talking about some new story that Sessions hadn't had a chance to grok.

Katy Tur just posited that it's fair at this point to ask anyone associated with the campaign/administration at this point if they've met with anyone tied to the Russian government.

Boy would I love to see that under oath... Get them all on the record now, sit back and wait for the next leak.

Cool, well, how does the differential in this car work?".
More importantly - even for someone who could answer the question correctly, customs officials have zero chance of accurately judging if the answer is correct because they can't ****ing read code.

Over a minute into his carrier speech and Trump still hasn't blasted the press for fake news. He okay?

campfire - I saw that post before you deleted and I'm glad you at least felt enough shame to do so.

It would be weird but fitting that Russian intelligence went from targeting jaded hippies to jaded white nationalists.

At this point, it's almost more suspicious if he stays 100% on prompter and on topic. Like, damn, he must be really worried about not slipping up or stumbling into a provable lie himself. One that would cause him bigly trouble.

Trump tells the crowd they will start winning again... Not realizing he's essentially saying they are currently losers.
03-02-2017 , 03:35 PM

Pronunciation: chee-lah-VYEHK.

Trump remembers the Battle of Midway. 'Everyone knows about the Battle of Midway.' Well yeah, everyone but you.

"At Midway the US Fleet was greatly outnumbered... by, I mean a lot. "

'The same # of airplanes for less $. That means we can get more of them.'

Ugh you just said the same #.
03-02-2017 , 03:40 PM
I'm not watching the speech but is he going all positive now? I figured with him getting rave reviews for unity and whatnot he's going to ditch the attacking the media and pitch everything as positive and uplifting even while his policies don't change.

Stuck solely to teleprompter and kept it short.
03-02-2017 , 03:45 PM
It was all, we are going to spend more $ on military bigly. We are going to be so great. So much power. Everyone else is in big big trouble. Talked about battle of midway.
