I literally have stopped identifying myself as a liberal due to the majority of 2p2 libs. How do you claim to care about individual rights and at the same time say people don't have the right to commit suicide? Who the **** are you to tell someone they're not allowed to end their life if they want to?
Now if someone wants to kill themselves because they have a treatable mental health issue I would hope they could get treatment before they commit the act. That's why I'm saying don't discourage them from seeking treatment out of fear that they'll lose their right to own a gun! D'oh! You're way, every current gun owner with a mental illness is at a higher risk to commit suicide because their choice is a). Seek help, but lose their gun, or b). Don't seek help and keep their gun.
Your argument only makes sense if you think there are more mentally ill people trying to buy a gun today than there are current gun owners who might currently have or in the future have a mental illness. I think the latter group is far > than the former. Do you disagree?
