It's more complex than that, but the tl;dr is: Stop paying attention to graphs made in MSPaint by internet libertarians.
Yea I'm sorry to say I fell for this ****.

I come back from intermission and now Sessions has talked to the Russians? Why would Sessions talk to the Russians? And who on Trump's team hasn't talked to the Russians?

This is the really weird thing. Could a Senator and the Russian ambassador seriously be having illicit conversations in one of the Senate office buildings? Seems a bit wild. But also, why lie about a matter of public record for no reason? Bizarre.

And why would he lie about it in his confirmation hearings, under friggin' oath?

What terms do you think I'm misunderstanding?

Again, it's a very simple line of logic. Not sure why you're having such a hard time with it. People develop mental illness over time. Many of these people already own guns legally. It is NOT a good idea to enact a law that would cause legal gun owners to be less likely to seek professional help if they need it for fear they will lose their right to own a gun. Now you have untreated mentally ill people with guns. This population would far exceed the number of mentally ill people who try to buy guns now. Anything that discourages people from getting proper health care is probably a bad idea.

Get it?

His spox is saying he met as a Senator and not as a Trump's campaign which might be enough to get off the hook of perjury. The Washington Post thought of that though

In an hour gonna go get big hot fatty perogies !!1

Yeah there is no talking your way out if it. Just lying about it gives it credibility that there was not a legitimate reason to do it.

Then under oath. If congress was not full of cowards they would do something.

Prediction: Muslim ban goes back in effect tomorrow to divert from this Sessions story.

“I’m not aware of any of those activities,” he responded. He added: “I have been called a surrogate at a time or two in that campaign and I did not have communications with the Russians."

Officials said Sessions did not consider the conversations relevant to the lawmakers’ questions and did not remember in detail what he discussed with Kislyak.

“There was absolutely nothing misleading about his answer,” said Sarah Isgur Flores, Sessions’s spokeswoman.
Is this real? He flat out said he did not have contact with the Russians but then his people are saying even though he did there was nothing misleading about his answer? This is about as clear-cut a straight up lie as we will ever see.

They're cowards, it's just a matter of who they are most afraid of.

Get what? You're made up objection to the law? Does the law say they'll take your guns if you turn crazy or just not let you get a new gun if crazy?

flynn got fired for lying to pence. Sessions at most lied to democrats.

I mean we just had trump lie to everybody including the widow about yemen and it's not much other than grumbling. We don't have to imagine GOP response if clinton did that.
He lied under oath to congress and its not even possible to spin it via semantics because he denied it both verbally and in written answers. There is literally no wiggle room for him on this in a normal universe.

I literally have stopped identifying myself as a liberal due to the majority of 2p2 libs. How do you claim to care about individual rights and at the same time say people don't have the right to commit suicide? Who the **** are you to tell someone they're not allowed to end their life if they want to?

Now if someone wants to kill themselves because they have a treatable mental health issue I would hope they could get treatment before they commit the act. That's why I'm saying don't discourage them from seeking treatment out of fear that they'll lose their right to own a gun! D'oh! You're way, every current gun owner with a mental illness is at a higher risk to commit suicide because their choice is a). Seek help, but lose their gun, or b). Don't seek help and keep their gun.

Your argument only makes sense if you think there are more mentally ill people trying to buy a gun today than there are current gun owners who might currently have or in the future have a mental illness. I think the latter group is far > than the former. Do you disagree?
