Republicans hate democracy so much they're refusing to hold town halls all over the country.

It's as though Trump was created in a lab to be and do the worst of pretty much everything.

1. Steak, well done and with ketchup
2. Women, grab 'em by the pussy
3. Other people, sue them
4. Black president, challenge his birth certificate
5. Beauty pageant, walk in on the contestants
6. Senior WH consultant, Steve Bannon

And the list goes on and on. Like does the guy even have a redeeming quality at all?

his kids

.. are costing the country tens of millions of dollars while the secret service protects them on their international business trips to luxury vacation destinations around the world, where they work to grow the wealth of the company the president of the united states never divested himself of

Not trying to take this thread off topic but has anyone here seen a show on Viceland (or the YouTube viceland channel) called Hate Thy Neighbor?

Well the pilot is all about the National Socialist Movement. They fancy themselves "American nationalists". Obviously the reality much much different.

Recommend the show. I've watched all the episodes and it seems this nationalistic fervor is at a serious tipping point. Definitely the largest I've ever seen in my entire life. This is all happening at a point in time where there are no major wars, no major famine in the western world as well as no major diseases/pandemics.

If things are going well relatively and we still have this instinct worldwide to divide and create destruction to each other, this administration is a microcosm of the crossroads we've come to as a human species.

Scary $hit.

In a society where people for the most part just suck, it makes sense that the grand sucker would lead.

I may be terrible at reading polls, but this doesn't seem to favorable for him.

I'm also terrible at embedding.

It's not about whether there is actual war, famine, or disease. (Lol all three might be on their way.) people in general have a poor ability to remember or make objective comparisons. They are much more suggestive than you'd think. A lot of them are comparing their current situation to at best a fantasy utopia/dystopia, if not outright ramblings of a madman.

Remember that if we start with a false premise, we can use correctly applied logic to achieve fantastically "true" results. It takes effort to see how it's vacuously true, which isn't something they teach until college probably. Now that I think about it, we probably should start teaching to recognize "vacuously true" in middle school or earlier.

Yea no ****ing ****.

I guess I'm asking why isn't the media/newspapers calling out some of this administration for being affiliated with those types of ideas. They preach an ethno-state.

Aren't tons of media/consumers greatly desiring for an ethno-state? One thing liberals might want to consider is disabusing themselves of the notion that Trump's voters aren't aware of this fact. I mean Fox News has been #1 CABLE USA USA USA MOST VIEWERS MOST WATCHED blah blah meow chow for like two decades or something now and this is their very product.

The thing is, they are. The MSM hasn't been shy about telling its viewers all about Trump and Bannon's extreme alt-right views. They've been calling out Trump's racist bull**** regularly. Ultimately, like Dvaut say, an extraordinary number of Americans are either totally in favor of a white nationalist state or at least unconcerend with open racism. You can tell these people that Trump is going to upend the lives of millions of Muslims and illegal immigrants and they'll cheer.

So he's bragging that R congress has a 32 favorability rating vs 31 for Ds in a poll with a 3.19% margin of error?

When I tried to argue with trump voters before the election, this was the clear case for overwhelming majority of them.

Famine/wide spread disease and the like are all in play now after all the budget gutting, all so we can blow up muslims. WAAF. Also, stop calling it defense, it's the attack budget. Hasn't been defense in a long time.

Based on an NBC and WSJ sponsored poll, who both are fake news, according to him.

Yes and Americans know damn well that conservatives (white supremacist) are seeking to build a white fascist state. Democrats should continue to point this out constantly but don't be surprised when a lot of "conservatives" don't budge at this news. That's what being a conservative is all abut these days. It has no attachment to fiscal conservatism or even judicial conservativism/constitutionalist philosophy. It's all about fascism and white supremacy, that's the one thread holding the Republican party together these days. They know it. It's kind of weird how they won't admit it to be true, but constantly cheer for white supremacist outcomes like the Muslim ban and mass deportation terror squads. But they HATE to be called racist/fascist/white supremacist. So maybe one thing we can do is just remember to call every one of our Republican friends/neighbors these words every chance we get. Don't let them forget we know who they are, and tell them right to their cowardly faces that we know.

And like yeah all the Trumpeters on this forum will tell you how they despise racism and they look at people like individuals...but they also have no problem with racially discriminatory Voter ID laws and other laws intended to disenfranchise black voters and keep them from having a voice.

They claim that they care about Chicago but try to get them to read one of the many DOJ reports on the Chicago PD, Ferguson PD, or other PD's around the country where cops violated civil rights as a matter of course. They'll just laugh and claim it's "unscientific."

Yeah, they don't care. They're just using it as a cudgel to attack minority rights. When it stops being convenient or useful for them, they have absolutely no use for black tragedy. When do you see them talking about Flint and the poisonous water. When do you see them talking about our nation's public schools and how they need to be reinvigorated. They don't. They only talk about race as a cudgel to take away rights and deny humanity to those who are suffering.
