Sample Letter to Landlord

Dear (Name of Company or individual with whom you have spoken)

This is to confirm our conversation of (date) in which we discussed a temporary reduction in my monthly rent.

As we discussed, I am a Federal employee who has recently been furloughed due to a lack of funding of my agency. Because of this, my income has been severely cut and I am unable to pay the entire cost of my rent, along with my other expenses.

As we had agreed in our conversation, I will be able to make regular payments in the amount of $_______. I realize that I will be responsible to pay the remainder of the payments and, when I return to work, I will contact you immediately to work out a plan to take care of the reduced payments. I will keep in touch with you to keep you informed about my income status and I would like to discuss with you the possibility of trading my services to perform maintenance (e.g. painting, carpentry work) in exchange for partial rent payments.

I appreciate your willingness to work with me and your understanding during this difficult time.

I like this a lot. The only issue I see with such a plan is that the wall is fairly unpopular outside of Trump's base and is wildly unpopular with the Dem base. It would have to be a massivee murder of ponies (or however you denote large groups of ponies) on offer before we should even consider it. Or, like you said, stuff Trump would never do (but stuff we still want).

"Consult with a personal attorney" is great advice from a tweet of sample letters begging creditors to let you slide on payments while you have no money.

Man, I’m glad I’m not a federal employee anymore. This bull**** is infuriating to watch. “Consult your personal attorney” —get the **** out with that ****. Basically in the future being a government employee is going to be a last resort, I’m sure that will work out great.

****ing weirdos. reminds me of some ****ty book i had to read in 2nd grade about some lame family with like 14 kids and two of them were twin girls who had their own secret language. the one scene that i remember is that they were doing something or another and the parent addressed them and they each responded (nonsensically) "ketchup"

it was probably at that point when i decided i would never read another assigned book in school ever again, and i mostly didn't. somehow passed almost all my book reports tho. i guess the teachers made sure to hit all the important points in class for the dummies who couldn't understand what they were reading.
