Sure. I'm obviously not saying Canada got anywhere close to perfecting Healthcare. But if you polled Canadians on which they would prefer I doubt you would get 2% for the American model

I called the State Sen.'s office this morning to confirm the Twitter account, but they wouldn't confirm or deny it. It is linked to his Facebook account where he has posted very similar posts and memes as well, and which seems to be legit and has his real office number posted on it. I just called back again to confirm the account, but got voicemail. I'll try again this afternoon.

I guess political discourse has died. To be fair, it has been dead for a while. We are never going to get any where if we cannot exchange ideas in a calm and effective manner. Oh well, it's been a good run!

Real talk, this is a terrible sign for the future of freedom in our country.

Custom Agents Check IDs of Passengers As They Disembark Domestic Flight

Quote:
"When we were getting out there were two customs agents," he recalled. "I don't think they had a clipboard or a list. I think they were just looking at everybody's ID. They did it really carefully. You could tell they weren't just looking for a name. They read my entire ID and looked at me the entire time. I was probably the tenth person off the plane, and they did the same for everyone in front of me."
When the plane landed, O'Rouke said, a flight attendant announced over the intercom that all passengers should take out their identification.
"The head flight attendant came on and said, 'Please have your papers ready' three or four times," O'Rouke recalled. Passengers then asked why papers were necessary on a domestic flight. "Someone corrected her and she said, 'Oh I mean photo IDs,'" he added. "To which people were kind of weirded out."
"I flew almost 200,000 miles last year," O'Rouke said. "I've never had my ID checked getting off a domestic flight."

It's ****ing baffling that in 2017 you can be a person of any intelligence and basically think that nothing is racist unless it's completely explicit. Like, ANY amount of concealment by racists will successfully throw you off the trail. Some dude is like "I ****ing hate black people. Except Steve Harvey." And you're like "well that's not racist, it doesn't apply to all black people! I wonder what his reason is for hating the rest of them is?!?" You're just stumped!
In Lestat's world there are 2 tests to determine if someone is racist. 1) Do they the n-word? 2) Do they say "I am a racist"?

Everything else is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

If this is real, it's just so LOL.

Like, this guy is willing to turn the country back 50 years just to see liberal tears. Amazing.

Tillerson's script-reading aptitude actually makes Trump's look fairly good by comparison.

Makes perfect sense if Donald Trump is the avatar of a skilled 13year old kid subsisting on cheetoes and Mountain Dew shouting racial slurs into his headset.

There's no chance these two idiots are coming up with this independently. Some where on right wing media they are calling for government censorship of these stories and using this "weoponized text" phrase.

Ok, I couldn't just post that without searching.

Assange and Breitbart for one.
LOL "weaponized text." Could they be a bigger group of pussies? Somebody find those gentlemen a safe space from all these word mortars and fact grenades.

Fly is right, you're all right wing nut jobs.
Right wing nut job who is pro-choice, pro 4th amendment, anti-war, pro gay marriage, pro drug decriminalization, pro-refugee, pro-immigration (legal and illegal).

Fascinating stuff, as usual! Refining right wing, redefining conservative. A++++

Also "0 contributions to policy", did I miss something here where 2+2 posters are contributing to policy in any way?

The video game we're in is obviously some sort of sandbox world-building game where you can unleash disasters when you get bored, ala Godzilla in Sim City. Someone made a country that crushed every other one in terms of economy, cultural influence, and army, and then decided to ruin it in the most hilarious way possible.

Can somebody break down the legality of what happens if you don't follow the request? I know you have to obey the rules of the captain while on an actual flight, but what about in a terminal?

- Violate the 4th amendment of all passengers by forcing them to go through a body scanner, or, receive a friendly rub down by TSA - No problem! More please!!
- Check IDs when disembarking from the plane - WHOA WHOA WHOA NOW JUST WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE?
