this is a terrible example. both democrats and republicans obviously have equal opportunity to get to the voting booth on election day, there is nothing physically stopping them. the law applies equally. you can't fault republicans for the fact that they actually vote in the midterms and the democrats in this story can't even be bothered to show up for one election in the span of 8+ years. democrats do a terrible job of rallying their base and getting them to the polls, that doesn't make the law suppressive. would you say that laws against violent crime unfairly target black people because they commit more violent crime than other races according to FBI statistics?
