The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

It's almost as if the election as President of a creepy old would-be-paedophile has legitimised paedophilia in the minds of some of his followers.

John Oliver has balls of steel. He made a parody on a ****ty Russian techno song praising Putin.

The Trump family is bilking the US taxpayers by profiting from security/travel for business purposes. SeeTheMirage is trolling and thinks most of us dying would be an overall good because he fantasizes that we somehow come back as a utopia.

'fake news' is just a term promoted by trump as a way for his supporters to avoid having to deal with their own cognitive dissonance while also giving them an easy out against having to construct intelligent rebuttals to agruments they either know they can't win or lack the intellect to argue.

saying 'fake news!' essentially offers them the equivalent of putting their fingers in their ears while saying "la-la-la-la-la" and they love this because they have finally been given a simple way to permanently avoid ever having to deal with a situation in which they end up on the losing end of an argument.

You mean just like this?

Saw the frightening/disturbing 60 minutes story on North Korea last night. N. Korea and the US - two nuclear powers, both with petty, narcissistic, unbalanced man-children in charge. Not a recipe for world peace.

With Trump as president there is a substantially higher risk of a war with N. Korea and along with it, a nuclear war. But hey it will have been worth it to stick it to those whiny liberals I suppose, right Trump voters?

I agree government overspending is major problem, but we should work towards solving that issue instead of pretending Trump personally wrote up some huge bill instead of the likely scenario where he simply said "sure, I'll accept secret service protection for my family"

This is tabloid news that also denied an opposing point of view before he had the chance to speak. To suggest the President is at fault for using a service offered to him and his predecessors is crazy. Show me proof where he wrote up an exaggerated cost himself and I'll denounce him for life, he isn't doing anything wrong here. He said "give me and my family the protection" and some pencil-pusher wrote up a bill, this doesn't make him unfit, it's just an attempt to illogically hurt the public's view of him, and more proof that the government needs a major overhaul which Trump may or may not offer, that remains to be seen
first, take a second and read this short post. then notice that trump is sticking his middle finger directly in your face as he uses your tax dollars to go on weekly vacations while ensuring that it's you, and not his billion-dollar company who pays for his family's luxurious lifestyle.

no one is forcing melania and their son to live in new york. so the $183 million per year security detail is literally the definition of wasteful government spending, and something even an amateur businessman would have dealt with weeks ago.

The Trump nuts are now using Sweden's rape statistics numbers to fuel the belief that immigration is destroying Sweden. While in reality, it's just different way of statistics being collected & Sweden having a much "looser" definition what defines rape.

Just look at this list (best I could find): http://www.nationmaster.com/country-...rime/Rape-rate

And note how the list is completely inconsistent and how a lot of countries with low rape rates are countries with terrible women rights track records. Seems useless to compare crime statistics where there is a lot of variance in ways data is collected between countries. Homicide rate might be the statistic that shows this variance the least I guess?

It's also not just waste. Some of those millions end up in Trump business. And then there's the kids running around actually doing business in his name, all on our dime.

Regarding his travel costs, I think it's a bit of a mix between tabloid news and a valid point.

I agree that it seems unfair to compair different administrations, and this is an example of the media spinning whatever they can to show Trump in a negative light. Presidents shouldn't be worrying about what their security costs and how it compares to different presidents.

But Trump's behavior so far has been very inconsistent with his general message with the government being filled with useless excessive spending behavior. It seems like his weekly trips, his wife staying in NY and all the family members needing a constant seperate detail is quite contradictory to that. Especially his weekend trips and the 180m detail on the NY house seem completely useless.

Eric and Don Jr are small potatoes.

In 2015, there were more murders in Orlando(the nearest big city to where Trump gave his speech) than there were in all of Sweden, despite Sweden having like 9 million more people.

Oh, and speaking of "fake news", that Fox News clip that Trump saw?

http://www.dn.se/kultur-noje/nyheter...r-is-a-madman/

The cops interviewed in it say it was edited so that it would seem like were talking about migrants when they weren't.

Nice, but some of the irony in that Tweet is unintended imo.

Yeah, there are things that I'm WAY more concerned about than these expenses, but I think it's totally fair to criticize Trump on these things. He did come in saying he was going to run the govt like a business and save us a ton of money. He should be held to account on that.

It's about time the US started a war with Sweden.

I forget which Trumpkin poster you're paraphrasing, but it's pretty funny that his views are exactly that of an ISIS member. Why be afraid of ISIS when you have the same goals? He should be joining ISIS. He'd fly under the radar as a white guy wearing a MAGA hat.
