I mentioned it before but they need to get away from this entertainment panel facade where people say dumb things just to get air time. It's time for the green ups to talk and the news channels better grow up and start presenting news for grown ups.

If they all did this trump wouldn't even watch cable news anymore because he wouldn't understand it.

I think it's perfectly reasonable for the press to point out the hypocrisy of Trump railing against Obama's spending habits. It's not like the Trump's are hurting for money, why can't Eric and donjr hire private security for there overseas trips where they are closing deals that directly profit dear daddy.

What is Lemon's deception? I'm not sure what lemon was supposedly 'subtely suggesting' but if we're going to take the guests points as his, there were two suggestions: A) Trump is hypcritical for complaining about Obama's vacations when he took far fewer than his predecessors and Trump is on pace to far surpass them all, and; B) Even granting that his grown children need SS protection, the bills are astronomical, and it seems like we could find a way to save a little money protecting them.

Again, these were not Lemon's points, and the second was from the "fiscal conservative" on the panel, and should be something fiscal conservatives would get behind.

Regardless, what about an opinion that it's hypocritical and extravagant makes it "fake news"?

All-or-nothing thinking with "Media" in general or specific media outlets is worrisome. CNN posted one story I didn't like or they had to retract for normal journalistic reasons -->>> CNN is fake news! Etc.

I wrote this during one of my Facebook "disagreements" just gonna copy and paste it here instead of retyping it.

The Presidents decision to call certain agencies, "Fake News" seems to link directly to those agencies that don't approve of everything he does. Those agencies that I admit, are a bit adversarial. He doesn't call Fox fake because they fall in line and try to shape everything to put a rosy outlook on the things that he does. And that is perfectly fine, we will never have a perfectly objective press because humans have innate bias, there is nothing we can do about it.

If we keep going down this road of trying to discredit those outlets that are adversarial, it's not a far leap to imagining Fox news being the sole distributor of information in the United states. That would be a problem no matter what institution it was.

It's definitely worrisome that so many don't understand our democracy or what a free press means, etc. Yea obviously humans have bias and media hires those same humans (for now) to do the job. What's ironic is how many Trump supporters talk about fake news and media manipulation and yet they tend to get their information from people and outlets that are actually some of the most biased!

Yeah if trump divested himself there would be a much smaller outlay for all this.

That he goes to Florida every weekend while his wife lives in New York doesn't help.

The problem is he is just abusing the situation. Having his son stay in New York makes sense. So with that in mind a fair minded person would work to minimize other outlays. Instead he has maximized them.

He is being financially irresponsible since a huge chunk of the expense is not necessary but only happening because the president is insane.
