That's a very authoritarian post for a libertarian.

The brightest spot in that survey Huehue posted is the 18-29 year olds which include all people regardless of race and gender.

Some guy in 1870: "Well the last generation was super racist but things are changing rapidly. As soon as all the old white folks from this generation die out racism will pretty much be over."

I also like defending Hillary (as I've said 1 million times, going to Wisconsin would have resulted in an election loss, but maybe with more EVs that Trump could lie about), and similarly give no credit to any Trump 4D chess theories.

But you're right, if I did my pre-interview Googling on a candidate for any job in my office and this Tweet pops up, I probably call and cancel immediately.

Unfortunately, he was already given the job.
Didn't you vote for Trump? If you're claiming you didn't, then never mind.

Buf if you did, your narrative is that this guy is not good enough for a job in your office, but perfectly worthy of your vote for pres?

Are you saying you were unaware of this or similar quality material prior to the election? Or you're saying despite all of this, Hillary was just a worse choice. And if that's the case, exactly how stupid would you have to be convinced Trump was before you voted for anyone else.

Pruitt is up there with the worst of the picks. I guess congrats to Susan Collins (R) for voting against and whatever at John McCain for not voting.

Hopefully some of his inaction will be able to be fought in the courts, but to a large degree he just effectively won all those lawsuits with this appointment.

Obviously this happens, but has anyone seen it in real life. I've yet to meet someone who was socially liberal and become socially conservative as they age. I mean I've never seen the transformation before my eyes. I heard many claims that so and so was liberal when they were younger and now they're an old, racist Trumpkin. But I've never seen the change first hand.

Maybe I am just not old enough, but I'd find it legit fascinating to see it happen to someone I knew.

You can't quite figure it out from the info, but looking at how strongly blacks, Hispanics and to some degree women are against it you can come pretty close to seeing that education levels for white males make a pretty big difference.

The focus of the media spotlight really needs to shift to the actions/inaction of Congress members. Too many of these pieces of **** like Chaffitz are skating by with only momentary attention paid to them. So if they just sit tight for a moment, they can go back to being pieces of ****. They need sustained media pressure.

Regarding the debate we had a few pages back why populism isnt as big in Germany, there is another factor that is quite different from the US.

It is how news networks operate. Most TV stations do have around 30min to 3h news on each day. We do have a some 24h News stations but they mostly show reruns of documentary.

In the USA news are very politicized. News are always political and at least a bit biased. Normally left and right leaning media might have different points of view but the still agree on the same reality. This seems not to be the case in the USA.

FOX News and MSNBC are both to biased to call them "News" they report what brings the best ratings or are following their own political agenda. This extremely biased reporting did tear Americans apart years ago and the current situation is just the reflection of that. Trump Supporters accept the narrative of his Fake News Calls since it is true for them. For the Fox Viewer the NEws MSNBC spread is as fake as the News Fox spreads for the MSNBC viewer.

I think the studies are more on the side of people sticking pretty closely to whatever ideology they have as young adults.

so yes, this + the other lies he tells, such as it wasn't raining on his speech (it was), his crowd size was bigger than obama's (it wasn't), and his hands aren't small (they are)

these are things that are easy to fact check, yet he continues to lie

someone that constantly lies, is a liar

Remember that dystopian view of the future in the movie Wall-E? Everyday with Trump we get closer to destroying the planet. Thanks Congress.

This is silly. No historical analysis can result in a conclusion other than increased social acceptance of racial, gender and sexual differences through time.
