Federal Judge in California orders Trump administration to reunite children with their parents within 14 days (if under five years old) or 30 days for older children. Seems very unlikely that they will be able to comply...and I don't know what consequences there are, if any, for failing to obey the order.

Politics has always been dirty. Time for Democrats to realize that clinging to norms and civility are guaranteed recipes for finishing in 2nd once again. The dirtiness of politics is there for the world to see and it's time for Democrats to get dirty and fight.

Haven't read the opinion, but it sounds harsh. She may stay for appeal, but deadline will likely still be ticking, and 9th Cir unlikely to overturn, and SCT will be out of session.

If they don't comply they are in contempt of court. As for it being "too difficult", that would just suggest they are so stupid they never considered reunification of parents and kids.

Anyway it's not too hard and any idiot could do it. DNA tests could take care of 99%. Hell, it's 2-3k kids, you could just put everyone in an arena and do DNA tests for uncertain cases.
