This is a prime case of picking the right fight. "Do you plan to meet with the CBC?" "The CBC?" "Congressional Black Caucus." "Oh, right." is a perfectly reasonable conversation to have. Not surprisingly, he went way off the rails anyway with everything after that. THAT casual racism is what you jump on him for. Not perceived knowledge of an acronym that has multiple meanings.

Attorney General Jeffrey Beauregard Sessions the Third is what I told the Starbucks cashier when she asked for my name this morning.

Until Breitbart gets its own widely available television network, it seems unlikely the base will turn on Fox News in large numbers. These are conservative olds who have been Fox viewers for 10+ years, ever since traitorous libs protested the war in Iraq. It's in their routine, and they have no similar alternative.

When she asked if you wanted cream and sugar, did you say "Of course, I hate black(s)"?

You should know that his name is actually Jefferson.

As if this situation could get any worse.

There is a half and half joke in there somewhere.

Trump sent this survey to his supporters today. About a quarter of the Q's are essentially "did the media report not enough of how great I am?"
A couple of these are, uh, oddly worded:
Quote:
Do you believe that our Party should spend more time and resources holding the mainstream media accountable?
Why is Party capitalized like that?

Quote:
Do you believe that contrary to what the media says, raising taxes does not create jobs?
This is a yes or no question that I would literally need to sit down and diagram before trying to answer.

Also... what?

That survey seems to be months old and meant for the election.

If it's not we should be spamming the crap out of it.

lol did this really go out today? they are obviously campaign questions... right?
02-16-2017 , 10:45 PM
Well he's campaigning for 2020, so...

Is single digit approval rating possible with Trump? I know it's never happened but I think demographics-wise. I just don't think it is. There's at least 10% of the population that are either too lacking intelligence or are too racist to sway.

I've been wondering when the press will band together against this pos. Surely it's somewhat a fraternity and to have some of the free press treated that way is completely intolerable and un-American and has to rub all journalists that way.

He'd be impeached before Congress let him get that low but yeah his floor is probably in the high 20s.

It went out less than 15 min. after the press conference. It ends with a request for money, because of course it does.

The Trump Winery, also known as Trump Vineyard Estates, LLC, is asking to bring in 23 workers this spring to plant and harvest grapes. The workers are being sought under the federal H-2 visa program, which permits American employers to hire foreign laborers under temporary work visas as long as no qualified U.S. workers want the jobs. The job on the 1,300-acre estate could run through late October.

The latest request is in addition to six workers the winery sought in December. The jobs will pay $11.27 an hour and require workers to labor outside in weather as cold as 10 degrees while “on their feet in bent positions for long periods of time,” according to the job posting.

Like, right now, there's a piece by The Editors titled Congress Should Investigate Allegations of Trump–Russia Ties. And that's great as far as it goes, it really is. The problem is that if you woke from a coma and read NRO, you would not have any sense that anything unusual was going on. It would look like a normal Presidency, OK a few scandals here and there, but whatever. Any sense of crisis is completely absent.

I doubt he's getting below 35% under any circumstances. He has at least this much locked up in the form of people who will never admit he was wrong about anything regardless. They're all-in, and not pulling their chips back.

Are Republican Congressmen really afraid that they can't sell Pence to their base?
02-16-2017 , 10:54 PM
My wife didn't hear about any of the press conference today. I just pulled it up on the YouTubes and am Chromecasting it to the TV so she can view it on the big screen, as it should be.

She's shooting me looks every few seconds. This is fun.
