Did they send you a letter like this?

A frustrated Shepard Smith has always been a good watch but that was really good.

I was in the playoffs for Least Antisemetic Person in '16, but I got dunked on by Elie Wiesel; might have a shot this year.

Person not president. Least ever person ever.

I mean, literally, Elie Wiesel dunked a basketball over my head. Dude had better ups than you'd think.

Man. He was harsher than Jake Tapper. GJ, I guess, but surely this will not go over well with the viewers. I expect Team Breitbart already conspiring to destroy his career.

JFC just seeing this Trump response to the question from the Jewish reporter about rising antisemitism, just off the charts crazy.

More like FauxNews

to be fair, I think he completely misunderstood waht the guy was saying (his own fault) and thought he was calling him antisemitic. the whole "YOU TOLD ME IT WOULD BE A SIMPLE QUESTION BUT ITS NOT YOU LIED TO ME AGAIN **** MEDIA" part was bat-**** though.

This video cuts off at the worst time. Anybody got cliffs on O'Reilly's inevitable spin?

trump cant survive if fox truely starts piling up on him.

they're the last wall keeping this whole thing from snowballing.

<30% approval trump would be something to behold

This reminded me of when trump went idgf mode in the last debate vs Hillary and he brought the former women who had been assaulted(allegedly?) by Bill.

He must feel he has enough separation from all the Russia stuff otherwise surely he would be laying low?? I really don't get it. He and his family/friends have fallen into even greater fortunes. What's with the shtick of not being able to say,"there's no tolerance for any hate in our country."

Well... I mean, that was some actual journalist on the ground reporting a fact to O'Reilly. O'Reilly's internal monologue was probably like "No man, no, wtf, don't you know who butters our bread?" The more interesting thing will be to see if HE (Trump) turns on Fox News. Then how does the base react? Fox is a pretty big part of their lives; I'm not sure they'd take Trump's side. They may for the first time experience what the weak pussy libs refer to as "conflicted feelings."

Most trump supporters would turn on foxnews in that scenario.

Yet another brilliant move by trump, this worked for him--he's rallying his base because some GOP guys were actually starting to turn a little. This will get them back in line again. It means resisting was working on them but the stakes have been further raised. In week 4.

Oh sure we're totally ****ed from a world wide perspective because I'm sure they're all gonna hear about this but trump and his supporters dgaf.

Well or they're totally ****ed. One of those.
02-16-2017 , 10:15 PM
I'm actually scared of a nonzero chance that the base will turn against FOX

If you read me that sentence two years ago I'd be like what the ****, that seems like it could have some good effects
02-16-2017 , 10:17 PM
I mean, there are conservatives that voted trump and there are the delusional trump fanatics.

The latter would turn against fox in an instant. But the former probably would not and it would likely kill trump's support from the GOP, etc.

the GOP is on a super fine line right now between putting all thier eggs in the trump basket or throwing him under the bus

A good few paragraphs on the #nevertrumpers

Quote:
The writings of #NeverTrumpers like French and Shapiro do little to illuminate their concerns, with their most common criticism being that he is insufficiently committed to the principle of small government. Insufficiently committed he may be, but so were neoconservatives when they supported the signing of the PATRIOT Act and the trillion dollars in deficit spending that financed the Iraq War.

What is the real point of contention among the #NeverTrump coalition? It seems to be style and style alone. Donald Trump and his Breitbart cronies found an easier way (blatant lies and incitement of a race war) to advance the same age-old conservative platform of kleptocratic white nationalism. In their response to the new methods, #NeverTrump conservatives are like Luddites; they see the strict constitutionalism and backwoods fundamentalism of Bush-style conservatism as part of a sacred process that should never be simplified. The end result may be the same — Republican control of all branches of government — but something is missing, some intangible mystique that it had in the past when the process was more difficult, the same mystique that drives people to buy artisanal chocolate or carry around a typewriter. The only honorable recourse for the failures of #NeverTrumpers is to follow the path of least resistance and quarantine themselves in the third tier of conservative media, writing love letters to William F. Buckley’s ego while half-heartedly lamenting the fulfillment of his id.
