Trump started off coherent and on message (even though that message was mostly horrifying) for like 10 minutes and that was all he could do before going off on a rant that is just...I don't know what it is. This is just absolutely absurd.

And I was a little surprised because I said “doesn’t sound like he did anything wrong there.” But he did something wrong with respect to the vice president and I thought that was not acceptable. As far as — as far as the actual making the call, fact I’ve watched various programs and I’ve read various articles where he was just doing his job.

At some point, someone linked me a study by dudes at the University of Manchester, but it was less a study and more of just a theory to try and make sense of the fact that it would've been impossible for something that large to function if the atmosphere were similar to what we've known. It boiled down to, "They're birds, and birds are super good at breathing efficiently." It was pretty underwhelming.

Still, I tend not to discuss YEC related things with people I know have no interest in it. It's been a very, very long time since I've bothered with an online thread on the topic. I didn't get to see the press conference so reading this I can't even decide if this might have actually happened.

one thing i know for certain is that obama was smart enough to know exactly to whom he was handing over the white house. therefore part of me has an optimistic sliver of hope that he put in some checks behind the scenes before leaving office to prevent this administration from replacing democracy. it is however a small hope.
