Wasn't that the Will Smith western themed movie? They're probably not fans.

Yeah, it's not like he stares over her shoulder at the voting booth to make sure she votes for him!

... oh wait.

Here, let me quote the rest of my post for you, since you either stopped reading there or failed to understand the rest of it. You should try again though since it's the important part:

Although, if that was some kind of 2nd level attempt to highlight my point, well played, but since I doubt you're capable of thinking that deep, let me explain it to you: By cutting my quote you've done exactly what the video editor has done. I made a perfectly valid and correct argument that taking things out of context in order to make a point - a point which would not make any sense given full context - will just lead to people looking stupid if/when the full context is revealed. You described a completely different event in which Trump has shown distrust and abuse towards his wife. That sounds like a great argument if I had stopped at saying I have an issue with that narrative. But you conveniently cut out the part where I said my issue was that there are better examples to use as evidence of that narrative. In that context you've only strengthened my point and made yourself look like an idiot. Similarly, people who spread this video around as evidence of anything will look like idiots to anyone who watches it in full context.

Comedians should be allowed to say offensive things, especially when it is funny af

I've seen the Melania video in full, here's a secret... having "full context" doesn't actually make it seem any better. In fact it's almost worse because you can see ivanka's expression change too.
This is a sincerely stupid derail, only funny because you're going so hard on this tangent. It should say something that trumps wife hightailed it out of D.C. Like the day after the inauguration.

I get that you think that's the important part, but it's not.

We don't just ignore random pieces of evidence because there are more solid pieces of evidence available, we consider all the evidence at hand if we want a more complete picture of things.

I noticed a lot of conservatives trying this tactic over the Russian hacking thing. They kept insisting we only examine one department's statement and pretend that only that one department had put out a statement regarding the hacking. No such tabula rasa is necessary for anything except casting unwarranted doubt on claims.

It's edited because in real time, it's quick. I thought that was obvious? It's like an instant replay in slow motion zoomed in. What am I missing?

How does Ivanka's expression make anything worse? I saw everyone awkwardly laugh when the guy at the podium made a cheesy joke, then turn serious when he started talking about God guiding Trump and whatever. Everyone's expression is exactly what you would expect for that.

Dude, no offense but you have no idea WTF you are talking about. In real time, it's easy to miss what happened. It's "edited" (AKA slowed down. Not edited as in "add frowny face") in order to capture what happened in real time.

First of all if you don't mean any offense, leave out the WTF. Second of all, no worries, you've consistently shown that you're misunderstanding pretty much every post I've made on the subject so I'm not offended by your frustration. Real time vs slow speed is not the problem. It's cutting out her initial expression when the guy started what was supposed to be a prayer and cutting out the sound so you can't tell that the entire family's reactions are consistent with the tone that the speaker is setting.

So you agree in this context the narrative is true, despite there being better evidence out there.

So what can Trump do in Chicago? What authority does he have to do anything if not asked for help by the state/city?

Does he think he is going to roll tanks through the city?
01-25-2017 , 03:50 AM
he could expand gun control but that seems fairly unlikely

He will send the Feds in, like he saw in a movie. Probably the Untouchables.

So if this ban on government agencies releasing information holds up, how far does that apply?

Does that apply to the BLS? So first Friday of next month, we won't have an unemployment release unless the White House approves of the numbers being released first?
01-25-2017 , 04:45 AM
Melania gets sad when he turns away because she misses his beautiful face already.

I hope that settles it. Now let's talk about how Trump is going to make America great again by sending the army where dumb TV shows tell him things are bad.
01-25-2017 , 04:51 AM
Seriously, how crazy is that?

He has access to several law enforcement agencies and all the experts he want, and he still gets his ideas from the things that Fox News puts between adds to keep the olds interested.

And the theory that he is a 4D chessmaster who doesnt actually believe what he says and has secret nuanced positions is deader than dead now.
