Like, the sheer hatred of a strong woman helped set a murderer free. It's disgusting.
Not sure how old you are, but that's a really simplistic take on the O.J. trial. Marcia's Clark's likability did not have anything to do with Chris Darden ******* things up and giving the defense the visual of the glove not fitting. Darden's eff up opened the door for Johnnie Cochran's iconic "If the glove does not fit..." closing argument.
The O.J. trial broke down along racial lines and the defense made it about the crooked LAPD out to frame a black man. The defense ever filled O.J.'s house with pictures of him with African-Americans so that he would look "more black" when the jury visited his house. The O.J. trial also took place in the context of the Rodney King beating and LAPD officers getting away with it.
In the years since the trial, at least one O.J. juror has come and said she would never have voted to convict.
