The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns. The Presidency of Donald J. Trump: No smocking guns.

The Fourteen Words, rendered in only eleven words! That's efficiency.

Couple thoughts about the presser.

(1) Trump suddenly remembered the persecution of Jews in the Holocaust. Amazing that the use is completely political. When we honor victims of the Holocaust, we don't have to acknowledge Jews. But when we justify teaming up with Israel to smash Arabs, then Jews have gone through so much that it's okay if they give a little back.

(2) Related, but I'm pretty sure the first question being from Christian News Network was deliberate, maybe Bannon's call. Like Trump has to show the base that even in a meeting about Jews and Muslims, he still remembers who his people are.

I'm glad European ic will be working to get rid of trump too.

A couple hours ago, seeing Tapper going HAM on the first 3.5 weeks of the presidency was hilarious and pathetic at the same time. What joke this administration is.

As far as we know (and we can't be sure because, no tax returns), trump and his family members do not have a business interest in fox news. A family member of Trump does have a business interest in Ivanka products (Ivanka).

I'm watching the OJ Simpson ESPN doc right now, and they are talking about how America just HATED Marcia Clark, even though she was nothing but a tough lawyer good at her job.

Like, the sheer hatred of a strong woman helped set a murderer free. It's disgusting.

I believe "shrill" was thrown around at the time.

interesting story

Bannon "livid" at breitbart article on Priebus

http://money.cnn.com/2017/02/15/medi...bus/index.html

it's funny that he defends him so hard because all the conspiratards have been railing at how somehow Priebus is behind all the "OMG DEEP STATE COUP"

might all be fake just to act like he doesnt have his thumb on Breitbart tbh, but if not its pretty hilarious and terrible for Breitbart, so its all good stuff.

Seems like Bannon just talking out of both sides of his mouth. I'm not buying for a second that they didn't run that story by him first.

Not sure how old you are, but that's a really simplistic take on the O.J. trial. Marcia's Clark's likability did not have anything to do with Chris Darden ******* things up and giving the defense the visual of the glove not fitting. Darden's eff up opened the door for Johnnie Cochran's iconic "If the glove does not fit..." closing argument.

The O.J. trial broke down along racial lines and the defense made it about the crooked LAPD out to frame a black man. The defense ever filled O.J.'s house with pictures of him with African-Americans so that he would look "more black" when the jury visited his house. The O.J. trial also took place in the context of the Rodney King beating and LAPD officers getting away with it.

In the years since the trial, at least one O.J. juror has come and said she would never have voted to convict.

There was a lot of underserved vitriol for Marcia Clark though.

When did he tweet this? I'm not seeing it. Maybe it was deleted?

His Twitter is fraught with subtle (or not) white nationalist bull****.

OJ trial was a seminal event for me in seeing how crappy pop culture was. I don't know if it was groundbreakingly bad or just the first horrible pop spectacle of my adult life. I avoided learning anything about it as hard as trying not to hear spoilers about Star Wars Episode I (for all that was worth).

Plus she got a hair cut what a dummy

I was a kid during the OJ trial. For reasons unknown, the local Fox affiliate would always interrupt after-school cartoons with OJ news updates. I distinctly remembering wishing they would lock him up fast after OJ news cut off part 2 of a particularly exciting Batman two-parter.

i believe the narrative that trump and his inner circle don't like reince. reince is the only one in the group that knows anything about the actual logistics of government. they're probably all in a room brainstorming wild ideas, and reince is the one that always says "well that's not feasible" or "we're going to need to bring some people in for a meeting about that before we move forward" etc stuff like that, and i imagine trump and his friends think reince is a wet blanket and is constantly ruining their fun great ideas with egghead bull**** nobody even understands.

The 5-part 30 for 30 on OJ is the most riveting TV I've seen in a long time. Highly recommend it. It might not be as exciting if you didn't live through it though.

No, but Murdoch and Trump are friends, and Murdoch even sat in on an interview with Trump earlier this year that was conducted by one of his UK papers -- the Daily Mail maybe?

Also interesting is that Ivanka Trump and Murdoch's ex wife Wendi Deng are pretty good friends and vacationed together this past summer. Even more interesting is that Deng and Murdoch supposedly broke up because she had a fling with former UK PM Tony Blair.

Even MORE interesting is that Deng's current boyfriend is reported to be this guy...

trump is front page news on every newspaper WORLDWIDE and he hasn't even started a war yet. on nov 7 i thought, that maybe i'll miss trump, i kinda love hating him he's a great villain, and i was looking forward to seeing him lose the election and reject the results and fight the trump university thing in court and lose that and maybe somehow go to jail, bec i thought it would be a pretty great spectacle to see him crash and burn. but this..
02-15-2017 , 09:02 PM
Yeah he's all over TV news in Europe. I've seen plenty of hot takes from talking heads in Spain and Italy, none of which support Trump in any way.

He wasn't on TV in Greece quite as much because they're in their own pile of **** and have been for years. So their shows deal with that.

The jury, particularly the black women on it, hated Marcia Clark--mostly because she was a strong (read: arrogant) woman. It didn't really matter what AMERICA thought about her.

Nah, bro. It came down to venue/jury selection. Clark and Darden's faux pas were minor and the case was cooked before openings.
02-15-2017 , 09:27 PM
It didn't help that the LAPD had a long history of treating the black population there like **** too. It made it a lot easier for them to believe that the cops would plant evidence to frame OJ.
