You know those guys that have played the movie villain in like half of every generic action movie in the last 30 years? Those were the dudes team trump was dialing up every week.

Wow. Tuning in now for "Hannity" for the first time in my life. This is insane. I knew Fox was bad but........ wow.

Spicy Sean lied about this like 9 hours ago.

Also, this woman on cnn just said that they did have names, but wanted to wait for reactions before releasing the specifics. That's great journalism. Gonna be some bigly lies tomorrow that get proven wrong in the near future.

just rewound and watched it again. This is either the exact wording or might have missed a word slipped in or something.

Don Lemon: "We do know who the people in contact with the Russians were and what they said, but we're awaiting comment before we name them, correct?"

Interviewee: "That is absolutely correct. We are waiting comment. Of course we want to do that before we come out and name these people."

Think the lady's name is Pamela Brown. Was on at 10:12 PM EST on CNN.

Interesting series of tweets here:

Basically, this guy is wondering if the IC is leaking stuff to make sure the investigation isn't squashed by Trump. Certainly strikes me as plausible.

Meh, I don't think the Republicans are even close yet.

It took two years from WaPo story to resignation for Nixon. I hope we move along more quickly this time.

Why did these Russian intelligence operatives have contact over the phone?

If this was the Americans this would definitely be the kind of thing they would arrange face to face meetings for. You know any phone calls are being surveilled why is it not a free roll to presumably engage these people in treason or the like where there is some chance that it won't be recorded?

My theory on everyone looking exhausted is that that would be the case even in the best of times. Trump famously doesn't sleep more than a few hours a night and this is a job that is 24/7. There is no way any of these people are getting any sleep if they are subject to being available whenever Trump wants their attention. They'll all burn out unless they have the same supernatural ability to go without sleep. Most people just aren't physically capable of being awake and attentive for this many hours this consistently regardless of what they are being asked to do.

True but man some of them look really really burnt out. How the **** do you do this for four years? Someone seriously might die

I could be wrong here but the odds of anything happening to our Orange Leader on the impeachment front seem rather long. Also Trumps personality is not going to let him resign. He has put up with nonstop ridicule for a year and a half now. Even if he got impeached it still takes 2/3 of the Senate to finish him off. Barring a true bombshell I don't think you are going to flip 19 senators or whatever. The fact Trump is in bed with the Russians seems pretty commonly known and I doubt this will be a game changer just based on the makeup of congress and the probable lack of any direct evidence regarding trump.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I doubt this moves the needle enough to actually get rid of the guy. The good news is it should slow down him down at least. I mean Obamas staff and future ambassador to Russia was in contact with Russia before he was elected (yes I am aware it is not the same thing but this fact will be enough to allow them to spin this story as another CNN FAKE/BIASED NEWS situation). Unless there is proof Trump is selling out US interests to Putin I don't see this going anywhere unfortunately.
