I really hope that the Trump disaster produces a backlash so that people vote for COMPETENT POLITICIANS with actual ideas on how to govern. The dems need to get their ****ing act together and win elections in 2018 and then the presidency back in 2020.

They tried to step out and call Trump out, but changed tune within 24 hours. For example, iirc Ryan lost like half of his BASE support overnight when he dared to criticize Trump during the campaign.

They're scared and know they're between a rock and a hard place, and a combination of hubris and cowardice has convinced them that their best path is to try to ride it out, supporting him as far as the public sees, maybe maneuvering into using him and his laziness and other characteristics as a rubber stamp, etc
