Carter Page, Paul Manafort, now Michael Flynn, all forced off Trump's team because of improper ties to Russia.

if the Russia angle is contrived, why do so many people with impermissible ties to Russia end up close to Trump?

I don't remember any other POTUS filling out their staffs based on loyalty to a foreign country.

What % of Breitbart comments do you suppose are Russian shills?

If you think being the center of a controversy even registers a blip on the Trump administration's radar, you have not been paying attention.

Really am surprised he resigned this soon.

while everyone rightfully presumes there won't be an investigation from congress/gop

There is a military court and there is apparently an army investigation about Flynn getting $ from russia in 15.

Obama was trying to start a war with Russia, which has done nothing to the USA. What was so terrible about Flynn telling the Russians that President Trump was open to peace and reconciliation? Flynn should be given the Nobel Peace Prize.

Yeah so I can't find the time exactly, but a little over an hour ago Breitbart posted this story. It must have been about exactly the same time the news was confirmed that Flynn had resigned.

Quote:
Media coverage of National Security Adviser Michael Flynn shows that the press believes he is done for and it is only a matter of time until President Donald Trump fires him or he resigns. The excitement in the press over the chance of a Trump administration sacking is palpable.

CNN’s report on Monday gives us a few paragraphs of melodrama before conceding that a “senior administration official” told the network that “Flynn has no plans to resign and no expectations that he will be fired”.

...

CNN’s headline says that Flynn is “on thin ice.” CBS News sees his “job security in jeopardy.” MSNBC declares “the White House’s Michael Flynn problem” has reached a “tipping point.” Time smelled blood in the water when White House official Stephen Miller “sidestepped repeated chances Sunday to publicly defend him” when he appeared on various talk shows.
WHY would the media report that????? What is their agenda?!?!?!

If only we had public representatives with the constitutionally granted authority to find answers to these questions...

LOL Noze.

It's only Monday people. There's still the classified briefing in between the 1st and 2nd course at Mar-a-Lago to tackle this week. Among other things like Miller stating the president has absolute power and "will not be questioned". Yea ok whatever junior. ****ing looney tune.

My favorite part about Breitbart is they pretend to be the media and that the real media is corrupt. Not even the Onion is that shameless.

Someone itt linked that 20min Maddow monologue about this last week. Basically stating that usually there is an immediate (or almost immediate) response to sanctions. Essentially tit for tat. In this case Russia didn't act because of the back channeling Flynn was doing. So history proves one thing but in this case nothing happened.

When it comes to Putin every action results in an equal and opposite reaction.

Except when Flynn is involved.

While Trump scandals mount, Chaffetz decides to investigate... a cartoon character

Quote:
The chairman of the powerful panel — the main investigative committee in the House — sent a letter to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention demanding to know why, in an attempt to raise awareness of the Zika virus, “CDC appears poised to make a sole source award to the Jim Henson Company for $806,000 to feature Sid the Science Kid in an educational program about the virus.”

Scandalous!

Sid, for readers not familiar with PBS children’s programming, is a preschool cartoon character. Like President Trump, Sid is orange. Unlike Trump, he is highly inquisitive. In each episode, Sid answers questions such as: Why can’t he scratch his ear with his foot the way his dog can? Why does his stomach growl when he makes French toast? Why did his yellow banana turn brown and mushy? In one of my favorite episodes, “The Big Sneeze,” Sid discovers that he needs to wash his hands even if he can’t see germs on them.

The emerging narrative on Breitbart is that Flynn did nothing wrong and this is a media conspiracy undermining Trump's efforts to MAGA, but also if it does turn out Flynn did something wrong, then of course he did, he was a Democrat all along.

I thought it was a given that Flynn had talked about the sanctions. Because of the timing of his conversations. Because of the lack of a Russian response. Because Flynn is tight with Russia. Because Flynn is tight with Trump. Because Trump is tight with Putin. I thought that Pence lying about it was just part of the plan. I'm still a little fuzzy over whether the Administration is upset that Flynn lied or because he talked about the sanctions.

Trumpers all seem to be Scientologists. Completely removed from reality.

This statement has not aged well.

I'm shocked that Trump didn't take this opportunity to personally fire Flynn in a big show of power.
02-14-2017 , 01:33 AM
God damn, Brietbart is amazing.

From twitter:

A poem:
Roses are red,
violets are blue,
if Michael Flynn has ties to Russia,
Trump probably does too.
