Please. Hopefully the grifting scandals pile up fast enough that we can avoid really bad things happening.

Yeah I mean he isnt running as a Dem (we'll finally capture the 'moderate center' if we nominate a billionaire!) but a primary run would be really interesting.

Gotta figure Trump will be gasping for breath and will have god only knows how many scandals attached to him by 2020. But he's not going to want to give up power ldo. Does GOPe actually have any power? Koch money could also go to a primary contender depending on how it all plays out.

This. Actually imo one of the actually v impressive accomplishments of THE FOUNDERS was the codification of due process and the rights to privacy/unreasonable search and seizure. It can be very hard to argue these points to intelligent non-political people who seem to quickly go to "if youve got nothing to hide what's the problem?" bc you are discussing abstract concepts that while entirely valid (imo) can seem outlandish to people who have never really had to consider them. Like the targeting of ideological opponents...

One thing I like to do when the administration is blatantly lying is to check out the Fox reporting on the same issue:

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2017...ter-fraud.html

To accept this article is to imagine a world in which the question of voter fraud had never been considered. For the writer of this article, we're just waiting on the administration to produce the evidence they must have. After all, they said they did.

This is my favorite sentence from the article:

Quote:
The president in recent weeks has gotten some support on the issue from fellow Republicans who have said voter fraud has occurred in their states.
Who are these fellow Republicans? Are their claims credible? Is it a claim of widespread voter fraud as Trump alleges or merely select instances? Are there any Republicans who dispute the president's allegations? All of these are just unknowable according to Fox. We just have to wait on the administration to release their evidence.

Looks like Trump's first real crisis happening tonight.

Just the best people, the best:

"Two people with direct access to the White House leadership said Mr. Flynn was surprised to learn that the State Department and Congress play a pivotal role in foreign arms sales and technology transfers. So it was a rude discovery that Mr. Trump could not simply order the Pentagon to send more weapons to Saudi Arabia — which is clamoring to have an Obama administration ban on the sale of cluster bombs and precision-guided weapons lifted — or to deliver bigger weapons packages to the United Arab Emirates.

Several staff members said that Mr. Flynn, who was a career Army officer, was not familiar with how to call up the National Guard in an emergency — for, say, a natural disaster like Hurricane Katrina or the detonation of a dirty bomb in an American city."

Oroville looks like an act of God.

Wonder how many feel that this is a response to California's high level of hate for Trump?

The President's play, divert all funds not released to sanctuary cities to be used for flood relief instead.

Should we recognize who that is?

It's not a complete dam failure but it could still be 30 feet of water. Still though, that's a lot of water.

Officials are warning those living downstream of Lake Oroville’s dam to evacuate because of a risk the dam’s emergency spillway could collapse.

“They have what they expect to be an imminent failure of the axillary spillway,” said Mike Smith, a spokesman for the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. “What they’re expecting is as much as 30 vertical feet of the top of the spillway could fail and could fail within one to two hours. We don’t know how much water that means, but we do know that’s potentially 30 feet of depth of Lake Oroville.”

The Department of Water Resources, which operates the dam, urged said at around 4:45 the emergency to fail within the next hour. Oroville residents evacuate northward.

LOL yea, it's this link.

I strongly suspect it was destroyed by a bomb by communists and subversives in California's government. I find it extremely odd that this enormous water resource has been crippled right when it could save California agriculture after an extended and proven fabricated drought, which absent the draining of the dams on purpose would have meant nothing. It is proven that the dams were drained in the name of giving tons of water to a fictitious fish called the "delta smelt", which was an invasive species dropped in the Sacramento River delta by settlers 100 years ago. It does not belong there anyway, so saying it is endangered is pure fiction, and nothing but an excuse to destroy California. A textbook communist tactic.

JFC, this is why Trump won.

Nah I ended up somewhere else somehow. I'm not sure why but don't want to repost. I will quote it thought

"There is an extremely high chance of total catastrophe now. I was totally depressed last night over this, because there is true impending doom that would have NEVER happened in Trump’s America"

"Improbable explanation photo for dam failure making the rounds

I seriously doubt it!"

"My take is that this dam was sabotaged by communists in California’s government to cause the current problem, and maintenance had nothing to do with it. And if I am wrong about that, it was still Communists anyway, who probably made a stupid environmental excuse for doing nothing while they stuffed their paychecks with the money that should have gone to maintenance because they hated America and wanted it to fail."

There are no words.

Watching dam crisis from the link above somewhere. Sad! Hope nothing serious actually happens.

Its not a communist conspiracy. Its an example of our nation's crumbling infrastructure and why we need Trump's infrastructure bill.
