Nate Silver seems to agree with this, by the way:

The historical rule is that Dems will nominate someone who contrasts as much as possible with Trump and not a "Democratic version of Trump".

For instance, it didn't help Marco Rubio one bit with GOP primary voters that his biography & personality often drew comparisons to Obama.

So if you're saying bad things about current pres, don't do it on fb or twitter/delete them or don't leave the country I guess.
Maybe I'm confused about what you are saying but restricting our freedom of speech online isn't the correct response. If more stories come out about US Citizens at the border having issues maybe more and more people will wake up. Apparently there is no law requiring you to unblock your phone for CPB agents. So basically you wait there until they let you go is my understanding unless they have reasons to actually not let you in to your own country?

We better hope the reasonable people get mad at this because you know the paranoid idiots that think we are in a huge amount of danger see this dude with a middle eastern sounding name get held up and they are all "**** yeah extreme vetting bro!".

Sidd Bikkannavar is a natural-born US citizen who works at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Lab in Texas. Again, he was born in the United States. He was coming from a country that is NOT on the list of the ban.

He was detained and forced to give up his work related cell phone and PIN number.

So, I'll ask again. Is this OK with you? Or are you guys just full of **** and hate all brown people no matter where they come from?

Well, when you have got people in these jobs doing this sort of thing:

anything is possible.

ofc trumpkins think you should be forced to give access to cell phones and social media accounts. esp if you are brown. citizenship does not matter. and they would also certainly believe that you should be subject to further search, detainment and harassment if there is anything in you private or public correspondence that is deemed anti-american or dangerous. and this would ofc include being a liberal or criticizing the govt.

Do you support what happened to the NASA scientist?
02-12-2017 , 07:03 PM
No.
02-12-2017 , 07:03 PM
LOL Trump pissed the media isn't reporting on huge crowds when leaving Florida. The crowds were protesters.

02-12-2017 , 07:06 PM
Cuban should absolutely run against Trump in 2020, but not in the manner you guys are thinking. He should run as a Republican and primary Trump.

These type of arguments can be counterproductive because the other side can easily concede their rightness and go on to set up a procedure that makes allowances for obvious exceptions. If that happens the original objector is exposed as disingenuous because he now has to admit that he wasn't giving the real reason for his opposition to the rule originally. ("Torture doesn't work" being another obvious example.)

I'm not sure what is more depressing...Trump's tweets or the amount of retweets and likes they get....

So the guy tweeting this uses a picture of a hedge holding up a sign as proof of crowds of protesters. LOL

To the guy saying that Miller looks like a guy from a Nazi Movie.

Hey hornbug how do you feel about Trump getting paid with taxpayer money to host foreign dignitaries at his own resort, or people using membership as a way to gain access to the President? Seems like the kind of thing you were terribly worried about wrt "crooked" Hillary.

Just say they're all paid for russian bots. It's what they would do in reverse.

As usual, you are missing the point. There's more important things for the media to cover other than the size of the crowds Trump thinks is supporting him.

Trump LITERALLY thinks the media should be talking about how people are supporting him while getting on a plane. It's absurd, bizarre, and egotistical.

But of course you don't see this.

Tbh this is what a lot of people think as it is one of those naive lines of thought. I have had family members and friends express things like this when we start talking about privacy, etc. They think that the reality they are not doing anything wrong will save them. Too bad the goalpost of what is "wrong" can always be changed and that the overall freedom to be able to have a private life is important. I guess you can always ask them how they feel about government cameras in their bathroom or something to make sure that while they are taking a **** they aren't committing crimes?

To me this has already been answered. Two weeks ago, a five year old was arrested, detained, and unable to see his mother until let go. Absurd. That not being bad enough, I find this even worse: Sean mother****ing Spicer defended this detention by saying something to the effect of anyone being able to do anything. There's no hope for people that are still pro-Trump, unless it effects them, of course.

Just in case you weren't sure already, basically every word uttered by Miller this morning was a lie.

Re: Mark Cuban

He doesn't have much charisma. I don't think he poses much of a threat to Trump.
