Some thoughts today:
1. Trump's approval rating is down to 40% in Gallup's tracking poll. 55% disapprove. I think it's a great sign that people who voted for Trump are already abandoning ship. Usually it takes much longer for people to make that mental switch.
2. Relatedly, I was concerned Trump might focus on photo-ops and "deals" like Carrier that don't actually do anything but fool people into thinking he's doing a good job. And I was concerned the media might go along with it. Instead, it's clear this is not happening as Trump keeps blundering over and over.
3. SNL has been brutal for team Trump IMO. Like with Palin, people are going to start associating the SNL characters with the real people.
4. The tidbit at the end of
this Mark Cuban tweet raised my eyebrow. If I'm reading it correctly, he mentioned to Trump in a private message in May '16 that he (Cuban) might run for President some day and it might even be against Trump. Very interesting that Cuban made that public.
